A College with good faculties and opportunities

The disciplinary level of the college is very high. They will check you out on your uniforms and punctuality every day. In one way it's good. But the long and tiring routine of the college is very bad. It completely makes the student feel exhausted.

Basically, I also attempted entrance examinations like WBJEE and JEE MAINS. But due to poor performance and a less awareness of college counseling as per rank costed me to suffer and i didn't get a chance in good colleges. So i turned to sit out one year for preparation but my parents didn't want me to do anything like that. In my hometown, there lived another guy who was from UEM, KOLKATA.So i enquired him of the college. He only had praise for the college, but one thing he didn't admire was the strictness and disciplinary routine of the college. So he seemed to be a bit annoyed of it. But my father wanted me to work hard. So i didn't give out the chance of getting admission there.

Well i would say the curriculum is long and tough and tiring. You will have a lot of lab works, assignments and project submission and completion along with 2 internal exams, first taking place within the 3 months of the start of the semester and the second just two months after. Lab exams takes place one month after the second internal and the Semester exams are followed after the lab exams. And for all these you have to be a lot punctual. Holdiays of 14 days will be given in the purpose of Durga Puja and Laxmi puja and 3 days of holidays in the purpose of Kali Puja.

Since the college is yet to have a placement held. So we are pretty unsure whether it provides internship or not.

Placements of BBA AND BCA departments have been done. Most of them have got placed. For B.Tech it will start within October, 2018. As a student of B.Tech i am very eager for it. I will wait and watch how it goes on. As of now, TCS, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT, WIPRO are the recruiters known so far.

1.Freshers.Takes place to celebrate the admission of the recently joined students. Mainly college clubs of Singing, dancing, drama conduct it. 2. Techfest. UEM, kolkata conducted it's first Techfest this year in collaboration with ISRO. with it's director itself judging the models and announcing the winner of the events. 3. Ecstacia. It's for the cultural program and the gaming part and the sport part. Here students from any college can participate and in any event which goes on over 3 days. 4. UEM MARATHON. An event where peoples of every age group participate in MARATHON.

It's a bit expensive. As of the facilities it provides and the quality of the campus it charges around 4,80,000/- for the 8 semesters and extra you have to pay 1000/- for every semester examination. They charge you like 60,000/- per semester which you have to pay before the start of the semester otherwise you have give considerable amount of fine for late submission and the semester fees has to submitted within the 2 day deadline.

Campus is not that big. Boys are large in numbers and that's a normal you cam expect. For extracurricular activities, the college has no playground of it's own as of now. Still, it conducts football tournaments outside the college by renting the ground.college has a space for golf,table tennis Basketball and FUTSAL. THE COLLEGE HAS AUDITORIUM, SEMINAR HALLS. College holds competition on group discussion, Robo car fighting.

since there are no notable alumni i have no comments to make on it. senior students are way a lot friendly and very helpful. they enjoy with everyone and they don't intend on ragging the juniors. they are very friendly.

Ok i sat for an an entrance examination. Conducted by UEM BRANCHES FOR GIVING ADMISSION OPPORTUNITIES. The exam's name was IEMJEE. I gave the exam i exam and i ranked around 1162. So i grabbed my chance. I contacted to their admission cell whose contact no. Is available on UEM WEBSITE. You will require IEMJEE result copy, 2 passport size photograph, Class 12 results attested by yourself, your Transfer Certificate and Yours class 10 examination result copy. ALL self attested. They would ask you for 81,600/- for admission. Out of which 60,000/- is the first semester fees and 21,600/- is the admission fees. For UEM admission proceedings are done in the office of IEM IN GURUKUL COMPLEX WHICH IS IN SALT LAKE SECTOR 5, KOLKATA.

Faculty. The most positive thing of this college. And some of them are amazing and to a whole different level. Superb. They are very helpful. Most faculties and helpful and very good, educated and with good vocabulary and friendly. They will help you out and they are eager to do so. They are quiet punctual.
