Review of Techno India College of Technology

The college stands among top five best private engineering colleges of West Bengal with good infrastructure, well designed labs and qualified teachers. There is a no bad remark about the college.

The faculty for my stream of choice (EE) is good. I got an offer from another college with the same stream in my first round of online counseling but I chose to go for second round of counseling and ultimately got Techno India College of Technology which I ultimately took admission into because the other college was far from my home.

The course is followed in a systematic manner. An online Moodle is designed which contains all day to day, week to week course schedule. Teachers work hard to finish the syllabus in time. Regular classes are conducted with adequate duration of the period such that there is no hurry and the students get enough time to understand the lesson.

A domain knowledge training is provided by the college during each semester break. The college also arranges for a Summer Internship program for all 3rd year pass-out students who could not arrange one on their own. However, No stipend is provided by college although the college arranges for these internships at it's own expense.

Every year a series of companies come for recruiting candidates from my college. Most of those are software companies (IT companies) and a few core companies come for recruitment. Basically TCS, Accenture, Infosys and Wipro come for recruitment. More than 60% students got placed in these companies combined. The package offered is 3-4LPa. Last year Microsoft also came for recruitment and recruited 3-4students . They were offered package of 9-10 Lpa as per information.

Fee is a bit on the lower side for any private engineering college. For engineering the fee ranges from total 3.8-4.2 lacs for all 4years of the course. It is much less than colleges outside West Bengal and also one of the cheapest private engineering colleges in West Bengal.

The college accepts Bank loan from students and there is a facility of separate fee structure for candidates whose family income is low wherein if applied with proper documents ,the fee for each sem for such candidates is reduced to a very negligible amount which is affordable by them. This initiative promotes education among the financially weaker section of the society.

Campus life is OK with a well furnished canteen consisting of a TV and providing cheap food. There is a indoor game room and an adjacent playground for outdoor games. My college ranks 4th in NPTEL ranking in the Eastern region and 16th allover India ranking. Robotics competition is held during technical fest season and students from various other colleges also participate in those competitions.

There are two Hostels,one each for boys and girls. Both of them are outside the college campus. Just 2-3km i.e, 10-15 min distance of bus journey from the college campus. The college has its own bus facility to take and drop students from their respective residences. About the food I don't have much idea because I'm staying at my own house.

Exam structure is as per MAKAUT designed structure. Two internal exams and a semester exam ( both theory and practical) in each semester. All experiments in labs were performed. At the time of exam there occurs a hectic schedule for the students because 2 lab exams are conducted on each day.

Appeared for wbjee and qualified it. An online counseling procedure is followed by all colleges under MAKAUT.It is a 3 round procedure. Took part in the counselling procedure by filling up the name of all colleges of my choice. Then after the results of counselling was declared I got Techno India College of Technology as my result. Then I had to report to the college with all documents and followed the successive procedures. Ultimately got admitted to Techno India College of Technology.

Faculties are all well qualified. All are post graduates and many of them have doctorate designation. The remaining of the faculties are undergoing their PhD. Being cooperative as well as friendly in nature, there is no barrier between student and teachers which is much needed for success. Teaches are always ready to help students in all possible ways
