The campus id pretty solid by that i mean its big in size than most of the south campus college of DU
The canteen is pretty solid. you get good food in less price which is steal deal

Dislikes

Their should be more events happening on a regular basis
The auditorium is not too big which makes it difficult to held events

Since I want to do MBA for my masters so according to me bcom was a good choice as it prepares you for further. The test and curriculum is similar to any other college, even the exams are not as tough. Faculty are supportive towards students and also they are well qualified.

their is internship cell or also called as placement cell which recently organised an internship fair which was pretty solid and many people attended too. but inspite of that you will ahve to be very active in activities for you to get a good internships.

From last semester students become eligible for placements when companies arrive. Though placements are decent here not too fancy and the average package is also okayish. if you want to join the college on the basis of placements then dyal singh is definitely not for you.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very affordable as it is a government college. though scholarships are present but they barely help you in any way. As for the campus employment its is pretty average especially for my course.

Campus Life

The campus life of dyal singh is actually good , as it has a large campus as compared to all the south campus college. their are various grounds. the library is well furnished with AC and is a good place for book enthusiasts. Their are various societies present and they are active as well. extracurricular is also decent , not too good not too bad. But their is a big con that happenings are very less in the college that is same routine is followed every day by that i mean that no new things like events happen regularly only once in a while.

Admission

admission process was no hassle. i just had to apply in delhi university and it automatically applies to all the university present in delhi university you just have to fill the university of your choice. all the necessary detail are present on DU platform. The conduct of exam was similar to any other competitive exams that are cbt based.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
