AIEEE, rank 131(state) 9807(AIR) electronics had always fascinated me since 12th std the department has a lot of scope and variety of topics to read on hence I chose this subject.

Course structure is balanced theory and practical in correct amounts done to stimulate the neurons assignments were being given on timely basis so that students can do self study.

I did an internship in DRDO Chandipur, Odisha there was no stipend but the experience was awesome the learning scope was good too i was sent through training and placement office only Companies like Microsoft, Dell, Sigmoid, Goldman Sachs etc visited for internships institute also encourages for DAAD and MITAACS programes.

The placement was more than 90% with equal opportunities for all branches microsoft, Dell Cdot, Reliance, Tata motors, Tata Steel, Xilinx, Coal India, Pwc, Novell, ZS Associates, Mu sigma, EXL Analytics, XL dynamics, LnT ECC, Oracle, SAP labs, Sapient, Samsung, Futures first, TCS, IBM, Sony, BPCL, DRDO, Sapoorji Pallonji, Tata housing,Nucleus, Housing.com etc visited the campus with an average salary of over 5 6 lpa CTC.

College festivals are celebrated with pomp and show ganesh and saraswati puja are celebrated with idols being worshiped on a big ground and authentic puja is done diwali and Holi are celebrated by students with fun where hostel authorities provide colours and crackers in plenty for the students to enjoy holidays are provided adequately for all regional festivals.

Hostels are big and spacious there are 6 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls and 1 married student hostel capacity of each is nearly 1000 and odd there are double and single seater rooms accordingly, Corridors and washrooms are cleaned regularly internet facility is provided all times they the food is of good quality with regular inspection being done to maintain heath and hygiene veg and Non veg food is served on timely basis in the week. Garden fests, festivals and hall day celebrations provide awesome food thrice four times a semester. The fees is meager fro it being a government institute. Dont like mess food on a certain day?? we have four day canteens and night canteens serving students 24*7.

The Training and placement office provides 10,000rs as a reward for best summer industrial project for final year students. As well as rs 50000 is being sanctioned for innovative projects. Estinno.com (portable washing machine) can be referred which is a outcome of NIT Rourkela students funded by the institute. The institute promotes students for DAAD and MITACS scholarship programs abroad.

There is an annual Almuni meet every year and the network is good too many companies visited the campus through alumni contacts as well. The senior junior relationship is good any junior can seek help from senior without hesitation and they are always ready the culture is such that juniors respect their seniors and seniors help and adore the juniors.

Faculty is good and they encourage doubt clearing sessions once a week and try their best to be available for students despite the hectic schedule.
