My university central university of Tamilnadu located in a remote area. University provides Integrated/MA/Msc courses in various subjects.Will be getting placements after post graduation. Duration of one semester is 4 months as of now. We are having enough infrastructure facilities.

Class Size: 34Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Our fee per semster is less than 10,000 . Since this is a Tamilnadu university, tamil students would get some financial support from TN state govt as scholarships.Other students can also get some other students can also get scholarships offered by central govt.

Campus Life

Students can get an peaceful campus life in this university. students counsil would conduct celebration of festivals. while considering sports university provides a huge opportunity for students. As extra activities students can join in NSS/NCC.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels is having enough infrastructure. In one room 3 students can stay. Elevator facility is available in each hostel. Hostel food quality is average. Hostel office manages the hostel admission. Would have to submit some documents. This place is not proving good PG or rented rooms

Hostel Fee: INR 2000 per year

Admission

University selects the students through CUET Exam conducted by NTA. NTA open a portal for registering. There will be having registration fee. I had to give 1 language paper, 3 domain subjects and General test. After the results we will have to register in respective university websites. University will publish rank list according to the exam scores. And there will be having reservation for OBC/SC/ST category students.

Interview Experience

I didn't have any kind of interview at the time of admission. For spot admission university is conducting interviews. I had to send required documents through post office. University will verify our documents. That is the final process for admission

Life at PSGCAS

Placement Experience:

The placements were okay in our college, it starts from the second year onwards in respect to diff degree. For economics it starts from 5th semester onwards. There were many companies who visited including goldman sachs, deloitte, zoho, tcs, accenture etc. and the package starts from 1,20,000 to 12,00,000 rupees per annum.

Madras School of Economics - A Comprehensive Review for Bachelor's

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has a lot of new age courses like MS Excel, Python and Data Science. It prepares you fairly well for roles like Data Analyst, Financial Modelling, etc. Areas for improvement include optimising the curriculum load as per the students. Two internals (one after a month after sem starts, second a few weeks before the end sem) and the end sem. I feel the end sem is relatively easier due to the preparation we endure for the internals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Political science syllabus in our college is pretty upgraded. The way it's structured is also pretty good. For a student of Political Science, they first gives us an introduction of the discipline theoretically explaining the subject before moving to it's real life examples. Out syllabus covers almost everything that is required for a Political Science graduate. Faculties make it even more effective using assignments and their lectures. We also have inter-disciplinary courses.

A Hidden Story of Central University of Tamilnadu

I applied for the other colleges like Banaras Hindu University and Allahabad University and many other colleges and that colleges are quite old and they have some reputation and name of their academic background and their curriculum. I didn't get admission their because of my low marks as i am from general category and for general category the cutoff is very high and so that i had given the CUET exam that is common University Entrance Exam and that therough i got my college Central University of Tamilnadu. I didn't get any rejection from any other college i choosen this college. CUTN: campus life

During my admission, the exam was CUCET. I had a score of 212. I got admission in the first allotment itself. I guess the cut-off was around 150 for general category students that year.
