- Overall i like the colllege because i look upto my college as to be a place which is a ground for opportunities and here are abundant
- The campus life is pretty good and the way the events are held the environment is good
- The lab facilities the order and management is good
Dislikes
- The auditoriums are not enough and very small not even acquiring 1/10th of the college
- The sports facilities are pretty bad for it to be of an nit
- The hostel and food facilities should have been better
Course Curriculum Overview
The courses in the first semester are not that relevant to the department or branch i have chosen but there is one course to be taken which is branch specific for every branch..The branch studies start in the 3rd semester ie in the second year of btech..The labs and the events made to be done here in the class ciriculum helps you adapt to the kind of atmosphere you would most likely experience in a corporate company..The peers also help a lot with this..The exams are in two phases..A mid semester and another one being end semester exams..Quizes are conducted throughout the semester to keep the knowledge of the students in check
Internships Opportunities
I have not done any internship to comment on this but it majorly is seen that the college does provide internships of ORACLE, NVIDIA and also many govt based offers for the core branch students..The projects they are made to do are obviously company specific
Placement Experience
The placements are pretty good..Scaling to a highest salary of 42 lakhs last year with an average of 12 lpa..This is expected from an nit as it ranks 2nd among all the nits in the country..More likely than not all the students get decently placed with cs branch's avg being 20lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee is the most for first semester..The ones who come under the reservation categories or need financial aid are usually given fees concessions..The banks here readily provide loans and try to make it a hassle free process..Sc/st category people specifically benefit here as the banks most likely give loans with zero interest rates..Scholarships are not much of a fashion in nits
Campus Life
The campus life is pretty good..As in we have a beach here in the campus..It is almost a private beach attached to the college..The sports facilities though are not that great as expected in an nit..The authorities are really careless and are typical govt employees when it comes to this case..The clubs and events are pretty cool enhancing your overall growth
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are not that great but manageable..The food also is not that great as in for a person coming from home..if a person is habituated to the south coastal food cuisine it won't be that much of a problem but if not they may have to adjust a bit
Admission
The entrance to the college is through your JEE mains rank and crl mostly..Different branches close on different ranks and you will be alloted accordingly.Post your jee examination results, the JOSAA councilling board allots dates for the councilling wherein in the lock list you have to choose the college as per you preferred branch order..I haven't personally benefited from the reservation benefits but it is same as any other govt institution..
