Two Years that changes the outlook towards life.

College management was very efficient. But one cause of botheration was huge number of students which always used to make me stand in long ques wherever I used to go, be it the mess line or the line to enter the auditorium.

I sat for CAT in the year 2010. Got a percentile score of 96.88. Took admission in IMT Ghaziabad in 2011. I always wanted to study Finance. Based on the market reputation of the institute I went for the PGDM (Finance) course in IMT.

The course curriculam was elaborate and very much pertinent to modern education structure. The electives I undertook where derivatives, corporate finance, Banking, Project Appraisal and Financing, Advanced decision analysis, Cost Structuring etc.

I had my internship in IIFl Ltd. It was a secondary research and valuation for two companies working in the automobile sector of India. Internship process was smooth. But due to huge number of students the competition always was very intense and tough.

Placement process was smooth. More than 100 companies used to visit campus throughout the placement period which lasted for almost 4 to 5 months during the fag end of the course. But due to huge number of students the competition always was very intense and tough. Almost 95% students were placed. Around 20 opted out. Average Salary offered was around 8 LPA. Highest domestic salary was around 20 LPA given by RB.

ZEST: This is an event organized exclusively for the new comers at IMT, to showcase their talents to their batch mates as well as their seniors. Participation is encouraged in various areas like Dance, Music, Dramatics, Fashion, etc. This is the first event of the year by the committee and we aim to make sure that all our participants receive the right stage to display their talent which they can take forward to the Inter B-School competitions.

MBA course is generally very costly in our country. IMT was no exception. The total course fee for uas including hostel and mess charges was Rs. 11.05 lacs. So for a middle class family education loan was the best option. But considering decent placement after the course one can think about the ROI and join the course.

College did not provide any loans as such. But all the commercial banks used to provide loans at a special rate considering the reputation that IMT had.

Campus life was fun. It was always vibrant with lot of parties , round the clock activities, cultural and sports event all round the year. Right from morning students have a jam packed schedule for the day. One of the Institutes most distinctive characteristics is its closely kNIT and integrated residential community. Library and Computer Labs are open 24X7, to provide the best study support. IMT has a vibrant campus life with a wide range of opportunities to fill your free time. The Institute has an impressive and pollution-free campus with panoramic green surroundings, elegant landscaping and beautiful flower-beds.

We has sharing rooms in the first year and single rooms in the second year. Rooms were decent with basic amenities like a cot a table and a chair. There was no AC. We had to buy air coolers during the hot summer days to survive. Mess food was nice but rep

Alumni network in IMT is very strong they have a dedicated Alumni committee. As a torch bearer in management education since 1980, IMT has over 5,000 strong alumni spread across various corners of the globe. Alcom tries to connect all of them with the Institute with different events and annual alumni meets in different cities.

In IMT we had trimester systems. So three exams per year apart from quizes online exams. Exam schedules were tiring. We had atleast 2 to three papers on each day of the exam. But one good thing was exams used to get concluded very quickly.

Very informative and well researched. They used to teach with live case studies. Also some of the faculties used simulation games for better understanding of the subject.
