- The first and the foremost thing is the beach of our college. Our college is the only college in India with a private beach
- The sports facility and other extra activities such as gym, yoga centre are great.
- Nitk has a lush green campus of 300 acre which allows to roam around different places inside a campus.
Dislikes
- The first thing is, the weather because of the scorching heat around afternoon.
- Nitk has high water issues which creates a huge problem for the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
In our curriculum, there are 4 exams which are quiz1, quiz2,midsem and end sem. The weightage of each exam is based on the department of respective subject. the course curriculum is well prepared and develops us by giving thought provoking works.
Internships Opportunities
As I am a first year undergrad, I can't tell much about interships. Interships are started from 2nd year and goes till 3rd year year end. If we perform well in interships we might get pre placement offer from the particular company.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from 4th year and for internship it is 2nd year. The average placement percentage is above 90%. The highest package offered last year was 54LPA and the average package is about 15 lakhs a year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees to complete a btech degree in our college requires 10-12 lakhs. We can avail benefits like scholarship loan, fee remission, scholarships etc based on financial situation and grades. The per year fees is approx 2.5-3 lakhs
Campus Life
The technical fest is known as ENGINEER and the cultural fest is called INCIDENT. incident is the number one cultural fest all over South India. There are many clubs, both technical as well as non technical. You can take part in any club based on your interest.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is quite good amongst other colleges. First years are given three hostels named karavali aravali and sahyadri. The karavali hostel was inaugurated by Shri lal bahadur shastri and is one of the oldest hostel. The mess facility is also quite good but the main problem is the same menu every week.
Admission
The college takes admission through JEE mains. For our college the cutoff is quite high as NITK is the 2nd best NIT all over India.After counselling we have physically report to the college on respective dates with the original docs and then the next procedure takes place.
