Nit jalandhar overview

I would rate the course 2 .faculty is the most irrelevant and they know nothing . So I would not recommend anyone pursuing this course . Faculty doesn't want to help students . Even the courses that are taught is mostly thoeretical and nothing practical is taught . They don't encourage students to learn anything except their domain knowledge . They discourage students at their level best.

Placements are not very good or not very bad . It offers a mediocre placement but it is a bit so it is an added advantage . If you appear for off campus internship or placements it is definately a plus point. Higgtest package -15 lakhs per annum. Average package-5lakhs per annum. Percentage of students that get placed are nearly 60 percent . So if you are interested in core then you can definately get placed in vardhaman which offers the highest package.

Tution fees is lot as compared to other nit's . But their is also availability of scholarships and student loans. And then there is category wise division for fees . So if you have an income certificate or education loan . Or you belong to schedule caste then there will be a lot of relaxation in your fees .

There used to be a lot of fests but now the frequency of fests have become less. Now only utkansh(annual fest) happens once a year along with few small events. Other than that college life is good here . Campus is not that big but beautiful. You have easily find books in library. Ac's are provided in all the lecture rooms. Also a lot of extra curricular activities are there. Gym provision is also there . So you can join the respective clubs or groups according to your wish and liking .

Hostel and mess facility is really good as compared to another nit's . Mess menu updates every semester and students who are in mess committe decides the mess menu. Hostel also have good cleaning facility , everyday hostel is cleaned by sweepers. Registration process is also very simple . You can complete everything on their official website .

You have to clear jee mains for this college with min of 95 percentile . you will get this college via jee counselling only . Reservations have a lot of benefit . Even student with 82 perc can get cse branch with st category. 1st year is the most difficult year as per difficulty of exams . There will be 2 exams in one semester with 2 quiz and multiple assignments and presentation.
