- The faculty here is quite supportive and is very regular.
- The sports facility is quite good .The grounds are very maintained .
- The connectivity of the network is quite good but the range for normal network is very poor .
Dislikes
- Their is not any good canteen.The quality and the taste of the food in canteen is very bad.
- The curriculum for the students is quite busy.
- Far away from the city .So students have difficulty in transport facility.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum according to me is good but quite busy for students as we have classes from around 8:30 -12:30 &1:30-5:30 which is very busy schedule and due to 75% attendance criteria you should attend lectures accordingly.But the faculty in NITJ is quite supportive and very regular to classes.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for placement in 8th sem and for internship in 4-5 sem .As I'm in Mechanical engineering and this year ME has 100% placement with the average package of 8 Lakh .The highest package for ME is 18.5 lakh.
Fees and Financial Aid
As tution fees is Rs.180,000 /Year as this is very affordable comparatively to private or other universities. For General there is very less relaxation in fees is their family income is less than Rs.500,000 but for other other category there are relaxation in fees as well as there are various forms of scholarship which can also be availed.
Campus Life
The campus is quite good but compared to other colleges the area is very less .But the campus is maintained very wisely. The most common problem is that it is very far away from main market and due to this there is very difficulty in transport . For extra curricular activities college is very good as it is very developed in sports fields .
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is fairly good and safe.First year hostels are away from seniors hostel's making it raging free. Meal is included in the 25000 of hostel(per sem) And the food is tasty and homelike and hygienic.
Admission
Eligibility for the cources is to have good percentile in JEE Main like for General minimum percentile is approx 96 percentile it goes to 85-86 for different category .The whole process goes under jossa site and after the seat allotment the further process will begin from NIT Jalandhar site .As I was General so I got Mechanical engineering with 96 percentile.
