Likes
- Internships are good, and college equally focuses on cultural activities and annual fests.
- Placements opportunities are decent and your ROI will be covered if you are a average student.
- Faculties have different teaching pedagogies , BA is taught through excel and spss, Eco is taught through newspapers which gives us practical experience of how it works.
Dislikes
- All saturday's are working and the schedule is very tight.
- Classes starts from 9:10am ends at 5:40pm which becomes a little hectic and dosent allow time for other activities.
- Students who are introvert can find it difficult to fit in and make friends.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum i would honestly say is very challenging. If you are a curiosity driven person then you would find all the subjects very interesting and engaging but if you study for the sake of it then you will find yourself in trouble. The course is built in such a way that it requires Active Learning.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies come for internships in campus like Deloitte, Asian Paints, Kotak Bank, Grand Thornton, etc, Some of them even offer stipends but the selection proccess is challenging. For example, Deloitted offers 25k stipend but you have to go through Verscent, Api, GDPI etc.
Placement Experience
The placements are exceptionally good, we have many good companies comming for both placements and internships like Deloitte, Grand Thornton, Asian Paints, Dabur, Loreal, Bajaj Capital, Kotak Bank etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees is 8.7 Lakhs, yes there are many scholorships available. If you have completed Bachelors from one of the branches of JIMS then you get a heft discount on your tution fees. Which other scholorships are awarded starting from 5% till 10-15% if you score good marks in the entrance exams.
Campus Life
Campus offers wide range of opportunities in the Academic domain which include intra-club activities and inter college events in various skillsets like Debate, Case Study Competition, Merger and Acquisition, etc. If I talk about the campus life, the campus has sufficient place to hang out with your friends.
Admission
I went through a online Admission Process which included GD & PI. GD and PI process was very smooth and hardly took less than 2 hours. The admission into the college was subjected to requirement of Entrace Test with a minimum marks of 60 Percentile. There were no aspects of the process which i disliked, even after the GDPI results when I went for campus visit the faculties were very helping and welcoming.
Interview Experience
Yes, I went through the GD and PI process in 2023. I went through the online mode of GDPI but now they have started taking it offline. Offline procedure includes a written essay on a topic given on the spot, followed by GD and PI which are conducted and regulated by a Pannel of Faculties.
