AN HONEST REVIEW OF MNIT JAIPUR BY A FRESHMAN!

The course is really helpful and relevant to the present industry needs. Skilled engineers are in great demand in software field. The course help build such engineers. The course coontent is really relevant to the present industry scenario. Also the facult is really qualified to deliver great knowledge to the students. Despite the fact that the course is well planned and well organised, improvents are needed in the labs, i believe the coure focus should be shifted to praactical applications rather than theoritical knowledge, also the labs should be improved and modernised that'll help students practise their knowldege better. We have two main exams in our college i.e the MTE and ETE. both the exams are conducted with sufficient gaps so that the student won't fell any academic burden and also can prepare for the exams easily

The college do prepare the students well to get internships easily. Many companies are in contact with the college and the college suggest tghese students to these companies. I myself know some seniors who are interned at very good companies such as amazon, google and microsoft. Companies are eager to hire the talented students of out college. Students get interned usually in their 2nd year and continue till they get placed. To get placed you should have to maintain contacts with the placement cell of college, your contacts may help you to get ahead of many students and bag the internship opportunities before anyone else. Though we don't have much foreign internship and placement oppertunities as of now.

The placements of college are very good. The average package for year 2022 was around 13,00,000. This year it is expected to be at 15,00,000. Many international comes to MNIT to hire talented students and also pay sufficient packages. The highest package in 2022 was from ECE branch and best average package is from CSE. companies such as amazon,flipcart,honda,goldman-sachs and many other such companies. The percent of students getting placed from each branch is above 90%. considering that some students opt for higher educations,almost all students are getting placed. I myself is aiming ot get placed in a MNc by the time i get my degree, i would be searching for internship opportunities in my second year as the college itself provide some internship opportunities.

The fee of the course is very nominal and affordable. The overall fees for 4 year UG course is around 10,00,000 INR. which includes the tution fee, hostel fee as well as other fees. There are provisions for students who need financial help, the fees for students from reserved categories is reduced or refunded, also we do have many scholarships for PWD and EWS candidates. Availing these services might be a little difficult since they ask for proper documents before fee remittance, but if you have all the required documents,the scholarships may help you financially. Well there aren't much opportunities from college side for part-time employement, though you can take certain reasponsibilities such as event management core team member, internships or run your own small business in hostel as being done by many students in our college already.

The college life depends on the students itself,if he is active in clubs and is social with people, then his college life would be awesome otherwise it'll just be like a life in jail. The college helds two main events, a tech-fest called SPHINX and cultural-fest called BLITZSCHALNG. SPHINX happens in november and BLITZSCHLANG happens in february. We also have a really huge library with lakhs of books available, books of related to any course is available here. The institute also ahev the facility of e-books provided to every student. In terms of sports,we have a ground of every popular sport in campus, the sport facilities are really good in college. Many competitions are also held such as inter-nit, inter-branch etc to help students showcase the sport talent and win prices. The institute have clubs for all your hobbies,though many of them does not have m=any participations so they aren't run properly and mostly remain in-active. Though some clubs are really acitve.

There are 14 hostels in campus. 2 girls hostel and 12 boys hostel, another hostel is also under construction that'll increase the capacity by 1000 more students. Freshers are allocated hostels from H14 or H7. both hostels have their own mess. the mess of H14 is not that good, the food condition of H14 and aurobindo is not that good but the mess of H7 is government mess and the food there is delicious. H14 is the lastest built hostel and hence the infrastructure is very modern and new. Hostels are provided with 24*7 internet availabilty,some hostels have LAN availabilty and others have free wifi routers installed. The hostel fee is quiet nominal and affordable, though the institute do have provisions to help the students in financila need. Also we have separate portion for PWD candidates that are built on ground floor and have specializes toilets and bathroom.

The admission process happened through the JOSAA councelling services and it went quiet smoothly. The cut-off for my course this year went approx till 99.55 %ile. The eligibily for this course is just that you should have sufficient score in JEE Mains. There is no any separate admission form for admission process, everything happens with josaa where you have to fill your desired course in the priority list. I availed the benifit of OBC and Home state quota that every NIT provides for it's state residents. The exam for admission was JEE Mains conducted by NTA. The difficulty depends on JEE itself, JEE is a highly competitive admission test for admission in IITs,NITs,IIITs etc. The improvement that i would suggest will be that the JOSAA website should be made for capable of handling such high applications, the site often crashes when the admission process starts, otherwise the whole admission process is quiet smooth and simple.
