- I liked the campus infrastructure. The campus too spacious ,green
- Clubs are pretty active . Healthy competitions always go on between the clubs
- The college Allows nri students to study thru dasa admission process which brings about diversity in college
Dislikes
- The city Rourkela is pretty undeveloped. There are not much recreational sites in the city
- The hostel facilities are pretty bad . There is internet and rooms are smalll
- Due home state quota most of the students are from odisha itself and they form their own groups . We people from other states feel cornered for a bit
Course Curriculum Overview
The subjects we are being taught in first yr are same for all irrespective of their branch. But subjects like life science, workshop ...i find no connection to my course. But they are easy to understand and score . I like the punctuality of lecturers in my college. They explain well and are always supportive and hold healthy student teacher interactions
Internships Opportunities
I am in 1st year.So I don't have any idea about internships.But I heard some of our seniors got internships and they got ppo from that company and got placed in the same company.Generally students from fourth semester stand for internship placements
Placement Experience
Form 6th semester , students stand for placements. We hear that the placements are pretty good. For internship students from second yr get good oppurtunities. Companies like google,coca cola,amazon come for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
I pay 99000 per semester which involves both hostel and academics fees for the semester. This amount of fee is for students with no income certifcate. People with reservations and income certificate get good amount of reduction of fees. The payment is done online via portal provided by the college. College supports scholarships like reliance ,ffe etc
Campus Life
There are four main fests that are organised by the college. Tech fest innovision,sports fest vriddi,cultural fest nitrutsav , ethnic fest cosmo. You can enjoy a lot during fests. There are wide variety of clubs which are active in their own fields. One can enjoy very much in these. Cominng to hostel facilities i rate it 5/10 , there is no proper internet connection, and the rooms are very small for 2 students
Hostel Facilities
I rate them very low. There is no proper intenet fqciltity andthe rooms are very small for 2 students to stay . The equipment like washing machine geysers etc are pretty old and they hardly run well. However , there is a gym ,musical room, tv room, basketball court, volleyball court , badminton cout, table tennis in the hostel premises. One can enjoy these facilties pretty well
Admission
My percentile was 99.5 and my crl was 6k . I got my admission into nitr through csab. The admission was smoothly done. The college management provides required info about the admission process well before the dates for admission via their official website
