Course Curriculum Overview
The institution provides highly qualified professors with so much grab in research field.The college used to have trimester system,where students are examined to CAT that is continuous assessment test and one trimester is dedicated to internship but from 2023 batch onwards trimester system is followed with 30 marks mid sem 50 marks end sem and 20 marks CAT or internal exams.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like iocl hpcl nalco and many other refineries and mines are participating in internships where internships occur every year. This is the best part of college mainly for which people opted for it
Placement Experience
The college received its first placement in 2023 only. With companies like thyssenkrup , worley,tata chemicals , hpcl,iocl, itpl , reliance , delloite , paradip phosphates , etc. Many students also opted for higher studies in abroad. The best thing about college is internship every year and the only college whose students do internships in Indian oil corporation limited.Highest package was 18lpa and avg was 10lpa. 88 percent students were placed where some also opted for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees is 91500 per year Hostel fees 35000 per year Mess fees 15120 per 4 months Now classes are conducted in IIT KHARAGPUR extension centre and permanent campus is under construction.Hostel assigned is AN Khosla hall of residence which is a coed hostel.
Campus Life
The first batch of the institution passed out in 2023 completing the 5 years integrated mtech course. So College is pretty much newly established and therefore no permanent campus is available and now residing in temporary hostel AN Khosla hall of residence which is a coed hostel. Classes are going on in IIT KGP EXTENTION centre which is some 1 km away and bus is used for traveling.Since the place is near the industrial area of bhubaneswar everything is easily available and life is enjoyable. 2 fests each year are arranged....first when new batch comes that's UDGAM and second is farewell for last batch that is PARVAAZ....both are highly celebrated. Library is small but beautiful and very much arranged and librarian is so cooperative and loads of books are available. Classrooms are highly maintained with air-conditioning and high level teaching equipment and labs are high level too. College lacks sports facilities still our students take part in various sports events in other institutes
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are highly maintained and spacious with attached bathroom and provided with bed,draws, almirah and study table. Meal quality is good but doesn't change every week or month so we fed up.The mess and hostel staffs are well behaves ans helping in nature.
Admission
The Institute of Chemical Technology Bhubaneswar Indian Oil Odisha Campus is a central government funded college so for btech+imtech admission the students need to participate and perform well in the jee mains entrance examination. Admission is through jee mains and counseling done through both jossa and csab. Admission process is obviously simpler than jee mains. However reservations benefits only applicable for admission and no other benefits like hostel and tuition fees deduction can be attained here.
