Honest MNIT viewpoint

So I am pursuing electrical engineering, and this has been my domain of interest especially circuits. The curriculum till now is good and has taught me many theoretical and real life skills. For example now i know more about the electrical wirings and a better understanding of power supply. Also in first year you are taught all the subjects so you get a good experience learning python , autocad or attending mechanical workshop

The internship opportunity are good and companies like okinawa, jp morgan are the ones where most students go. The stipend varies greatly. some students get as much as upto 1 lakh . There have been projects on research, finance etc

Students of the final year are eligible for placements. And the placements are above average. Some of our past recruiters were apple, amazon, mercedes . The highest package offered was around 80 lakhs. And the placements percentage was above 85%

There are scholarships for the underprivileged students who are good in academics. Apart from this many companies such as reliance also provides scholarship to the children. Financial assistance is provided to the Ews, sc , st ,obc people from the college itself.

The campus life is fun and happening and many clubs are active in many domains, if you are interested in dance you have MC² and level X. If you are someone who loves acting or writing, We have Drama club by the name of DIL, similarly if you are into robots and machine learning there is ZINE club for you. Our annual fest is blitzschlag which was held from 2-5th February 2024, Apart from that we also have a technical fest named SPHINX and many small fests are events keep happening. The Library here is amazing and has some of the best books but you need to get your hands on them early as they have limited copies

The hostel life is amazing in this big campus. We have been provided a table, chair , bed and cupboard for our use. The girls hostel is very spacious and has sharing room of three for first year. The menu is diverse and the food is average. There is canteen facility also incase you don't want to eat mess food. For hostel you need to apply while doing registration for the course. The hostels are not that expensive. Per semester it costs us around 32000 including food and electricity

For pursuing Btech in MNIT one must clear the JEE mains examination and then sit for josaa/csab counselling. There in you will fill your choices of college and branch and you will be allocated a college based on your rank in jee mains. Jee mains is held 2 times in a year. The first attempt is generally in January and second is in april. The paper is quite difficult and students generally start their JEE preparation from class 11th. The process can be a bit tiring but as such there were no issues with me regarding admission
