My Thoughts For my COLLEGE (MNIT)

I'm enrolled in course of Electronic and communications. Which is I feel one of the toughest course of engineering. In this course we have to learn the syllabus of cse and electrical as well which makes it bit more tougher. But in my Institute in the department of ece professor are very supportive and helping they teach us very well and help to learn things better.

Internship opportunities comes to students by the end of second year or we can say in the starting of 5 semester. Many companies used to visit our campus in the month of may and june for the students. As long companies offer PPOs to some students during the internship programs only. Companies like Google and Microsoft visited our college for intern programs.

In MNIT various companies visit during the placement sessions. Companies like Google, Apple, Deshow, used to come. Number of students placed is very good. But talking about average placements then I would say it is not that satisfactory. For example top branches like cse, ece, electrical have their average placements between 15 to 20 lac per annum. Many students don't go for placements they either opt doing higher studies. Orr choose other field other than engineering. Like civil services. Orr Defence services.

Fees structure is divided in three categories depanding on how much the income is their of parents. 1. Students with having annual income below 1 lac have to pay only Institute and hostel fees 2.Students in category with annual income between 1 lac to 5 lac.have to pay Institute fees, hostel fees, and some 33% of tution fees. 3 . Students with annual income above 5 lac have to pay complete tution fees. And hostel and institute as well. Scholarship are being provided by government and some private forms as well.

Campus life of MNIT it one thing which impressed me the most. I would say I haven't seen anything like this before. Over campus is in 320 acers. And in the prime location in Jaipur. Where I would say it has all facilities of indore and outdore. Our college used to organize many public events. And many clubs are their in college which helps you to take part in other activities. Infrastructure of MNIT is developing day by day. In past few years there have been so many new development.

In MNIT their are total 14 hostels put of which 2 are for girls and 12 for boys. In boys hostel 8 hostels are from the past when the college was started. And 4 are build in recent years only. In newly built hostels facilities are very good. But in old ones I would say interior recuire renovation. Mostly students lives in hostels but some prefer to stay outside.

For addmission to MNIT you have to give an entrance exam called JEE Mains organised by body called NTA which is held twice a year. It's application forms are out in the month of december and cutoff for top NITs in India is very high. Nearly 11 lac students appear in the exam out of which only 40000 students are able to make in good Institutes. Number of attempts are limited which is one thing is didn't liked personally because in such a cut throat competition 2 attempts are not enough for students.
