Likes
- I liked the food here and how friendly all seniors are. The gym is very good after renovation and professors are very friendly and knowledgable(But i personally don't like some).
- The clubs do a good job and the fests are good. very competitive environment
- The Spiritual club sessions which helps increase concentration are held every week and we can go attend those.
Dislikes
- majority just study all day and very hectic environment
- gender ratio is bad with 1 girl every 17 boys
- Exam held in a basement where sometimes power goes off and irritates us a lot
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very well adjusted to the current industrial trends. Areas of improvement: they should keep flexible end-term and midterm exam schedules as, they keep all exams one after another without a study holiday, so we may not be able to prepare that well. Exams: Mid-term and end-term exam are held every sem and in between there are quizzes that a professor can take at any time. All quizzes are not fixed and vary from subject to subject.
Internships Opportunities
Internship available from 4th year as this is a 5 year course. Highest internship package from CISCO:200000 per month(for 6 months) companies that avail: amazon, Goldman sachs, microsoft, google(rare), Cisco, IBM, Qualcomm
Placement Experience
from 4th year students can sit for internships(6 months) 5th year -> internship and placement Companies: Texas instrument, IBM, Microsoft, Google, Amazon Highest package CSE: 2.1cr CTC abroad 90lpa CTC in india (CTC means you wont get the full salary to yourself. You basically get 60% of it)
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee: 500000 /yr and a slight increase every 2 years to accomodate for inflation inflation complete cost: 5 years course +hostel ->30 lakhs We get health insurance included and scholarship if we score a cgpa of 3.6/4 or above
Campus Life
Annual Cultural fest: Infin8(feb) Tech fest: Synergy(oct) Sports: umang(inter college) and spandan(intra college) Sports is encouraged and gym facilities available. Clubs: dance club, music club, sports club, gym club, art club, tech club etc
Hostel Facilities
Room has bare minimum facilties: 3 sharing room, one chair one bed and one closet for each person. Meal : pretty good and eatable but you get board after an year. Hostel registration included with fees as hostel is compulsory for all students.
Admission
We had to Score well in jee main usually about 99 percentile and above. After that you will have to apply for a seat in college in the link: erp.iiitb.net. Click on Applicant, put in the requred details in the fields. No erservation benifits. Jee entrance exam happens once every year and each year has 2 shifts. Admission is quite flexible, even if you miss the admission you can directly reach the authority, and you would get a seat if it is available and you have the desired rank
