- Infrastructures is great and we dont lack much in facilities.
- The college is situated in city so there are lot of places to vist.
- Proffessors here are highly qualified and teach well and available 24 hrs for doubt clearing.
Dislikes
- Academics are quite hectic for first here hence you get little time after classes for other activities
- The clubs are not active here and occasionally conduct activites.
- Girls to boys ratio is poor for some branches.
Course Curriculum Overview
We have to study 4 department core courses along with common subjects. Hence the academics becomes quite hectic in first year.Proffessors here are highly qualified and but not all can teach well. The courses are according industry standards. Like other colleges We have midsems and endsems along with quizzes and asignments.
Internships Opportunities
Circuital branches get more onternship offers than core branches. Civil branch have less offers for internhsip in core civil and many students deviated to tech or non tech jobs. But one need to maintain good cgpa. Others students who don't get internship do minor or major project.
Placement Experience
Mnit has great placements, both in core and circuital. All major companies hire from here. Usually average package is around 12 lakhs. While 8 lakhs is for civil engineering. A lot of students in civil engineering opt for govt exams and prepare in btech itself. 70 ? students get placed. You can even take a semester leave for internship.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total college fees is around 1.82 lakhs. Though there are fee waiviers available for low family income. Apart from fee waivier there are numerous scholarships available around the year both govt and private.
Campus Life
MNIT has two main fests namely sphinx ( technical) intl the month of November and blitzschlag ( cultural) in the month of February. Sports facilities are nice with 3 basketball courts, 2 tennis court, badminton courts and football ground. A lot of sports tournament happen here like MST and internit. Lectures happen at vltc the asia's largest lecture theatre. Clubs here are quite inactive.
Admission
You have to clear class 12th from a recognised board with minimum 75% in India. Admission was through josaa counselling using JEE mains rank. The cutoff for civil engineering was around 32K in general category. Exam is conducted twice a year in multiple shifts.Reservation is given to SC, ST, OBC, GEN-EWS and Pwd candidates. The difficulty level of exam is moderate. One can clear this exam with 2 years of coaching. Admission process is smooth.
