- i liked the college and i like its vibes and i loved banaras a lot.
- hostel life is also good until and unless you know how to accomodate and adjust.
- faculty is very helping atleast of my branch and placements are good. we have a good alumni network.
Dislikes
- infrastructure is also boring and not high class. the thing iit bhu does not have its own gate and we have to live under bhu.
- classes are not that good. in summers you have to go through extreme torture as they are not air conditioned.
Course Curriculum Overview
by the allotment i got the pharmaceutical branch and i really don't want it but what else i can do. so after coming to college i tried for the branch change and i changed my branch to mathematics and computing and was really very happy with my branch as this branch provides a great opportunity in the data science field which is a part of my interest. this branch is the most powerful branch of today's era as it provides grasp over both math and computer subjects. exams took place 2 times a semester and it is good.
Internships Opportunities
internships for lower branches on campus is very difficult you have to go off campus only and for upper branches some are being placed on campus and some go for off campus but it is good for uper branches. for btech people internship starts after 2nd year and for idd people it starts after 3rd year.
Placement Experience
placements in the college are good as obviously it is an IIT. but you have do your work properly as tag of iit will work but not that much as everyone wants the placement. everyone here is in a big big race and if you think that only tag can provide you a good placement then you are wrong. you have to earn it and do the hard and smart work both.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fee structure is like 100000 for the tuition fees and hostel and mess charges are approximately 21350. the scholarships are povided on the basis of family income. if your family income is above 5 lakh then you have to pay full fess and if it is the range of 1 lakh to 5 lakh then one third of the tuition fees is need to be paid and if it is below 1 lakh then you just have to pay hostel and mess fess. placement is good in my branch with average package of approx 30 lakh.
Campus Life
campus life here is good in terms of facility and all and food is also good in comparison to other colleges. a lot of clubs are there for your overall development you can take part in those clubs and infrastructure here is of old type but it gives asthetic vibes might be you don't like the infrastructure.
Hostel Facilities
hostels are good and some what bad. just the thing is we are living three girls in room which is made for two people that created a lot of problems as we have to share the cupboards and all. mess food is good but not like home you will remember your home food badly. canteen facilities are being provided.
Admission
the admission process in IIT BHU was through the JEE Advanced examination which i gave up in 2022 and i cleared that examination and came to this college. Then the seat allotment process took place and i got this college in that allotment and i was happy with that as JEE advanced is one of the toughest exam. the cutoff marks that year was 55 and i cleared the cutoff and came here. all the aspects were fine and none of the aspect bother me a lot. everything was smooth as they provided the hostel and everything else was a lot fine. the only thing was to shift to a new city else everything was fine and i was litterally happy with my admission.
