Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is like the other college. There is no such difference in that. There is shortage of faculty members in almost every department. So if teaching staff can be increased then will be helpful for students. Exams are taken on the date given by MAKAUT.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario in the college is good. Almost all the students are placed through campus placement. Last year placement percentage is around 80 percent. There are many companies which recruit likes L & T , tata power, itd cementation, voltas , hpl , Bengal beverages Pvt Ltd etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total cost of education for four years is about 1.68 lacs which includes 9000 per year for course fee and 32000 per year for hostel fees. Students can apply for svmcm scholarship offered by the west Bengal government . And other numerous scholarship is offered by the alumni of the college . I am receiving svmcm currently.
Campus Life
Two biggest social and technical festival of North Bengal is organised by this college. One is JECLAT for social festival and Shristi for technical festival. College library have almost all the needed books. College also organised inter college tournament in cricket, football and volleyball.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is available for the students of all year. In first and second year three students have to share one room , in third year two students have to share one room and in fourth year one room for each student. students have to fill up hostel form and allot on the basis of distance.
Admission
In this college admission is taken on the basis of wbjee rank . This college offers B. Tech degree in the field of computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering and information technology . The average cut off starts from 3000 and goes upto 8000. The course fee is 9000 per year. The quality of food in hostel is very nice. The placement scenario in the college is good . Highest package offered in information technology.
