Summer Internships at VIT bhopal

The curriculum offered by the university is very relevant and follows the NEP syllabus. The courses offered are top notch and include various subjects that are relevant to new technologies. The pedagogy is based on CALTech method, i.e; Collaborative and active learning through technology. The courses include projects, internships, MOOC's and industrial visits, that prepare you very well for the real world industry and give an experience of the current world scenario. The exams are held as Midterm (middle of semester) and Endterm( Final assessment). The criteria to pass the exams is minimum 40 marks in Endterm and mid term + end term should be greater than or equal to 60 marks. Class timing are very long, 1 and a half hour. And there are Interim semesters, small 1-2 month semester between the actual long 4 month semesters, which is completely irrelevant and add to the work load.

Summer Internships are available in the 6th semester, offered by the college. You need to maintain a good cgpa. Mostly students having a gpa of 8.5 and above are allowed to sit in interships. Numerous companies including Amazon, Microsoft, Krypto, IBM etc visit the campus and provide stipiends upto 12LPA. The projects are done by students under special guidance. Supervisors are alloted by the college for the projects.

The placement records at VIT Bhopal are very good. Thousands of companies visit the campus. The placements are held collectively for all the 4 campuses. Higher education programs are also offered by the university. The highest package goes upto 56 LPA in VIT Bhopal and the average package is around 6-8 LPA. All students get special training for placement right from their second year and are allowe to sit in the companies from the end of 3rd year. The PAT cell is very supportive and interactive. There are frequent webinars and sessions held by the PAT for students on placements, higher education and corporate world.

The tution fees are based on your fee category. Fees category start from 200000, category 1 and goes upto 500000, category 5 per annum, excluding hostel fees. The hostel fees depends on the type of room you select, ranging from 100000 to 300000 for AC and Non AC rooms. There are some scholarships provided by the college to board exam toppers and first 100 ranked students on VITEEE. Rest no scholarships or financial assistance is provided by the college. Education loan is provided by some banks like Indian bank, SBI and Bank of Baroda. There is no reservation for SC/ST/OBC students in VIT. The merit is general.

The overall experience in VIT Bhopal is very good. The campus is still not constructed properly but it showed a huge growth in the last 5 years. The events are held almost on daily basis by various clubs. There is one main college fest "AdVITya" which is held around February in every year . There are a lot of hackathons, ideathons, technical and non tech events held based on the real world scenario, like IoT, blockchain ,AIML etc. The clubs and chapters are very interactive and active and conduct a lot of events. The labs are also well equipped. There is Robotics lab, AR VR lab, Gaming Lab, Data analytics lab, bioengineering lab etc. Sports club is also available and the grounds and fields for games are well developed. Sports fests are held and the games are for both male and female category. There is table tennis, cricket, badminton,chess, basket ball etc . Student life is very engaging at VIT bhopal. There are numerous technical and non technical clubs and some regional clubs also

The admission process for all the VIT campuses is based on VITEEE. It is a common entrance test for admission to all the VIT campuses . The syllabus is similar to other engineering entrance exams like JEE etc. The exam is held in digital mode and it carries questions from English and Aptitude in addition to Physics, chemistry and mathematics or biology (depends on your stream). Once you clear the exam you can choose your college and branch in the counseling period which is allotted on the basis of the rank secured in VITEEE. Then you have to pay the fees and you will be enrolled in the college. The application forms and mock tests for VITEEE are available online on the official website of VIT, i.e; www.vit.ac.in. The thing that I do not like about VIT admission process is category system. If you have low rank but want admission in a top branch, you can secure it by choosing the fees category, i.e; pay high fees than other students and get admission, which is a bias for poor students.
