My thoughts about IIT BHU

The curriculum covers a wide range of topics relevant to my field of study, providing a solid foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, along with opportunities for hands-on learning through labs and projects.The curriculum is designed to prepare students for real-world applications by incorporating industry-relevant projects, internships, and practical experiences. Additionally, the focus on problem-solving and critical thinking skills equips students to tackle challenges in their future careers or further academic growth.

Internships are good opportunities for the students who are well prepared in their preffered domains. Domains include SDE,ai/ml, prroduct,finance and also related to core branches. Stipend are averaged at around 40000 rupees and highest was 4,50,000 rupees.

Campus placements are on par with the tag of IIT, recently there has been decrement is avg placement and no. of students placed. Students get eligible for placements 7th sem onwards and they can also get PPO after their internships.

My total fees for the 4 years are approx 12 lacs and hostel feel are 15000 per semester. To help students out, there are scholarships available based on things like academic performance or financial need. These scholarships can come from the institute itself or from external sources. They aim to ease the financial burden on students and make education more accessible.Moreover, students can find work opportunities right on campus. These include jobs like teaching assistants, research assistants, or working in various campus departments. These roles not only provide students with extra income but also valuable experience that can enhance their resume.

The campus is very big and has lots of activities to do around here. Sports is a popular choice among studenta and availibilty of huge grounds are a big factor that brings the interest. About clubs, there are alot of clubs providing space to persue your hobbies and interests. Kashiyatra, Technex and spardha are big fests which are all organized by our student community. Classrooms are big and situated a bit away from the hostel.

Hostel are 3 seated as of now for the 1st and 2nd yearites. From 3rd year onwards its 2 seater. The rooms are spacious with newly constructed hostels. Mess quality for some hostels are really good like SN Bose and Satish Dhawan, weekly meny is also good, mixture of various kinds of curries and items. Hosyel registration is performed during semester registration itself. BHU is situated in middle of city so outside campus is good market area.

Eligibility of the Course: To be eligible for admission, I had to meet the criteria set by the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced, which typically includes passing the JEE Main exam and meeting the cutoff scores. The application form for admission could be found on the official website of IIT BHU. Application fees were reasonable and payable online. The application dates were usually announced well in advance, allowing ample time for preparation and submission. As a general category student, I didn't avail any reservation benefits. However, the institute provided reservation benefits to eligible candidates as per government regulations.
