- Lush green Campus with peacock and sometimes Monkeys
- VT temple inside the campus which is approximately 75 m high
- Campus Life is good with very nice seniors
Dislikes
- Infrastructure could be little better but it is improving
- Lecture Theatre are not air conditioned except ABLT
- Quality of road especially semicircular one is poor
Course Curriculum Overview
Here at IIT BHU we are exposed to world level technologies like Tinkering lab, 3D printer, Super Computer. I am pursuing 4 year B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and we have very experienced faculty members and for practical clarity we have various labs for Geotechnical, Environmental, Structural, Surveying and Geology laboratory
Internships Opportunities
Internship Opportunities are good in my college but it quite hard for us . Highest stipend offered to student was 4,00,000 . Intership duration is 2 months. It is offered for various roles like core and non core(IT )
Placement Experience
Placements are very good at our college with avg. Package of around 22,00,000. TPC (Training and Placement Cell) take care of the placements. Students get eligible for internship after 4 th sem and for Placement after 6 th sem . Companies that visit are Google, Goldman Sachs, Tata, ITC ,Amazon , Cisco and many more. Highest domestic package was around 1.2 Cr and highest international package was around 80 lakh Almost 90 percent of students get placed. I would prefer UPSC after degrees
Fees and Financial Aid
We can easily get loans from Banks at lower rate of interest. There are many state sponsored Scholarship like UP Scholarship that we can avail Here at my college we have to pay 1,06,000/- as Academic Fee and 15,000/- as Mess Fee. In bihar we have MNSSBY in which we get 4,00,000/- on which interest rate start after completion of course For Economically weaker section fees is low.
Campus Life
We have Kashiyatra (cultural fest) in January and Technex (Techno -Management Fest) in March. Our classrooms are well ventilated , equipped with smart class. We have SAC (Student Activity Centre) dedicated for different sports activities. We have 3 big playgrounds equipped with flood lights. We have various clubs like SNTC (Science and Technology Council),E-cell, Incubation Centre, Cine club and may more. Inter hostel championship are organised. Departments also organise their fest like at Civil Department we have Shilp Here at my college we have Shree Niwas Deshpande Library where we have wide range of books and journals available both in offline and Online mode, computers are installed where we can know that book we are looking for is available in the library or not.
Hostel Facilities
Every year we get new hostel and we have to do physical registration which sometime become tedious. Rooms are well equipped with all facilities in which upto 2nd year we have 3 students in one room. At first we loved the Mess food but with time we got bored with same taste On Saturday night Mess is off so on that afternoon we have special lunch
Admission
As I got my dream college IIT, but getting into it was not a piece of cake. Firstly I had to clear JEE Main and then JEE Advanced . After clearing two tough entrance test I had to face hectic month of JOSSA Counselling in which we have to prepare a list of colleges according to rank and then wait for rounds. JEE Mains is easier than JEE Advanced but no. Of applicants are more in Mains Anyone who wants to know about the JEE they can simply know from internet We can attempt JEE Advanced only 2 times.
