- Library: The library of SVNIT is considered as one of the best libraries of the overall NIT's among India.
- CRC(Classroom Complex) : The lawn is awesome .The Students specially from 1st year spends there most of time here.
- Campus and Infra: The Campus is wide having too much space and the Infra is overall satisfiable.
Dislikes
- Hostel Facility: The hostel facility are not as much as expected.It lacks in terms of space of rooms.
- Vehicles: The vehicle aren't allowed in campus for Hostellites.
- Professors : Some professors are very strict and are annoying.
Course Curriculum Overview
I'm being in Computer Science Student at SVNIT , I will briefly tell you everyone about curriculum. The course is based on the New Education Policy.The Main subjects that prepare the students for the placements or real-world applications are mainly DSA(Data Structure and Algorithms) and Web Development.The Professors are quite chill expect few.
Internships Opportunities
The company came to college for internship after the 3rd Year.The Students can sit in the placements or interview based on their choice and Criteria (GPA) . The project's are very important for getting into any company for internship.
Placement Experience
The placement are good, Having average package of 13 LPA . Now a days the placements have been affected after the Introduction of Chat-GPT. Students are allowed to sit in the placements for the coming companies.Company having sorting method as CGPA or GPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is availability of Fee Remission: 1.The SC/ST students are given 100% course fee remission. 2.The Other Categories have Fee Remission based on the annual income of Family. (i)The Students with annual family income less than 1 Lakh is given 100% fee remission. (ii)The Students with annual family income greater than 1 Lakh and less than 5 Lakh are given 2/3rd of Remission. (iii)The other Students have to pay all the course fees.
Campus Life
The Campus life is fantastic.The overall infrastructure considering the Building, Hostels, Mess, Sports Ground is very well managed.It consist of around 300 Acres of land.There are variety of clubs for social and skill development.Popular one are Mindbend and Sparsh.
Hostel Facilities
The Rooms are allocated per two persons.The room having spcae less than expected but other facilities are prity good.There is availability of Night canteen also , which opens from 10 PM to 2 AM . The facility of laundry is also available.So,one need not to worry about the clothes.
Admission
To get into our college(SVNIT-Surat) , One must get through JEE(Joint Entrace Exam). The Application Form,Date,fees all will be available on nta.ac.in (Official Site of NTA) (National Test Agency).The reservation is there for the JEE exams and the benefits with the cutoff of a particular category is all available on NTA site.The Jee took 2 to 4 times a year depending upon the testing agency.
