The honest review of NIST Berhampur.

Most of the students are taking CSE as the demand for the computer science is increasing day by day and choosing the Information Technology branch is also equivalent to the Computer Science. And there is a huge scope in the Core branches also like EEC, EEE and ECS. For the upcoming years the demand for core branches also increases as the Computer science branches. The civil and mechanical engineering also pays off a good placements from certified companies.

The internships providing by this college are very good and they are starting from 1 to 2 months offline training about the course we have applied for internship. It also provide some stipends which are mostly for the MBA and MCA students. There are also some research works are going on and the students if interested can take part in that research programming.

Placements are not very good because the average placement package in campus ranges from 2.7 LPA to 3.5LPA . The highest package till now is 21 LPA and that too off campus placement. The companies are coming to the campus but not at all selecting a mass students. A very few are getting selected in the campus placement. The placement officer are working for that. And now gradually the placements are increasing. There is a hope for placements in the upcoming years.

The fees structure for this college is previously like ?1, 25,000 per year but as the college became an University now. So there is an incremental in the fees structure that is now it's like ?1, 70,000 per academic year. The hostel fees ranges from 25,000 to 30,000 per academic year and the mess fees for the food is separate in the hostel. The food bill ranges from ?3,800 to ?4,000 per month.

Every year there will be a Techno-fest in this college which is popularly known as SANKALP. It's a 2 days tech fest in which the first day all the clubs of the college will conduct many events based on fun and technical events. Apart from this there will be a lot of fun based events and programs conducted by different clubs of the college. For the sports and games there is an Indoor stadium in the college itself which is very large enough to conduct several games at a time. And there is also a gym inside the campus which is free for all the students of this college. There are several clubs and each club has it's individual role. A club conducts some fun events and another club conducts some technical events and every club helps the students in different ways.

Hostel facilities are very fine. There is the facility to stay maximum of 4 members per room and each of them will be provided with a bed, a study table, a chair and a cupboard to keep their belongings. The meal quality is also very fine which is suitable for every student because every student is from different different states and regions. So not every student have a same taste. To register for staying in hostel you should have to talk to the admission officer or any admission staff during your admission process and they will allocate you a room number and you can bring all your belongings to that respective room.

The admission process is very good and the faculty are also very friendly here. And during the admission process they will let us know all about the college and it's academic status and also about the placements coming to the college. They also give us much confidence that there will be better growth in the placement for the upcoming academic years. We no need to worry about the admission process because as we enter the college for admission they will let us know the admission office and by reaching there the admission officers and faculty will help us reach out there with a friendly manner to get admission. The eligibility for the admission is to score a good percentage of an average of 60+ in class 12 and the student who is going to take the admission should have appeared JEE Mains with a minimum of 75+ score to get a Fees reduced.
