Course Curriculum Overview
I have always aspired to work for a formula 1 team and what better way to get there than to join machanical engineering. Also it suited my interests of physics and thermodynamics which are a integral part of mechanical engineering syllabus. Also my dad is a mechanical engineer so he will help with the opportunities for internship and placement.
Internships Opportunities
Being a first year student I don't have any offers but will surely have one by the end of next year given I'm working hard towards it. Project which will be an integral part of my engineering journey are yet to be started since we have not yet learned the core mechanics of engineering but I have learned software's like autocad and fusion 360 used in the market by engineers
Placement Experience
Campus placements are good and student get internships in 3rd year and placement or PPO in 4th year. Highest package last year was 64lpa and more than 80% were placed last year. All type of companies related to engineering background visit the campus during placements and also the vast alumni networks helps in the process. My plans are to work in the automobile industry after getting my degree
Fees and Financial Aid
The first sem fees will have to be paid during counselling to jossa. From second sem onwards we have to pay on college website. Total semester fees totals out to 68000 and then from hostel and mess it is 38,000. There is a provision called fee remission after admission for which you can enroll if your Family income is less than 8lpa and at the end of the semester the college will return 75% of the semester fees using which you can complete Your entire btech in under 4 lakhs.
Campus Life
The college life overall is good and we do have a lot of opportunities not only in studies but also extracurricular. Whatever maybe your interest there is a club for it and you can develop your skills in that direction. The annual cultural fest of our college is Aarohi which is central India's largest cultural fest and the technical fest is Axis which also very good. We also have IG which is institute gathering which is the longest fest which spans for over 10 days and covers all types of sports, cultural, literary activities. All the braches compete for the first spot. The classroom as said are newly constructed so have all types of tech you would expect and want with speakers projectors tv screen and all.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are good. We have double seater rooms for first year and from second year onwards we have a option for single seater or double seater rooms. The rooms are quite big and hostel has all facilities like reading rooms, recreational room, tv room and also a night canteen. First years have a intime of 8pm and from second year onwards there is no intime. The hostel is quite affordable and registration process is very easy. It happens along with college admission registration itself. The mess food is decent.
