Likes
- Doctoral Faculty: all the teachers here have PHDs and hence they are vary good their field and are able to help us out.
- FFCS: we can select our teachers and the slot in which we want to have classes. It helps with making the time table on our own.
Dislikes
- Since the college is very new, there are things that are yet to be made. The college is under construction and hasn't been made completely yet
- The campus life is not very good since the college is in the middle of no where and the city is very far. Even to go to city it takes atleast 2 hours.
- The wifi provided ny the hostel is very slow, it diesn't work most of the time and and you also won't be able to use your own mobile data due to probably the jammers in the hostel.
Course Curriculum Overview
In btech there is CSE core, aiml, cloud computing and many more which is definitely a plus point. The fact that we can choose our majors after 3rd year as a core student is good. Different subjects like python, c++, java, DSA prepares us very well for real world The improvement cab be done by removing that subjects that are not needed for our future jobs. There are two exams in one semester mid terms ans end terms. And hence 4 exams in one year.
Placement Experience
7th semester students are eligible for campus placements i.e. 4th year students. The mass recrutiers complanies like infosys, TCS etc comes by the end also companies like BMW, MicroSoft, Google Mercedes, Cognizent etc comes for the placements. According to college highest package is 59lakhs and 90%placement record. My planes are to go for higher studies like mtech or MBA
Fees and Financial Aid
Since this is a private institution there are no scholarship provided. There are no opportunities of job employent opportunities or stipends provided on campus. The cost of complete education including hostel fees is nearly 20 lakhs.
Campus Life
There is only one fest in one year named AdVITya which is a 3 day event. There have been no technical fest here as long as i have been here. There are very small amount of books available here but the course materials provided by the subject teachers are vast and very helpful The sports happens every year once but due to very large amount of students not everyone can get chance. The ground for cricket and football are the worst. It is very hard to get into clubs here as there are small amount of clubs and large amount of students
Hostel Facilities
There overall 6 boys hostel blocks in which 5th and 6th are still under construction, 1st boys hostel is also under construction. There is one mess for block 1, one mess for block 2 ,3 ,4 and one for 5, and 6. The meal quality is okaish. You can get better options living outside of campus.
Admission
Eligibility is: 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths in class 12th. To get admission in in vit there's an exam called VITEEE which include physics maths chemisty resoning and english and there is no negetive marking There is no reservation in VIT The frequency of exams are once every year, the difficulty level is easy to moderate. The exam includes Physics, chemistry, maths, reasoning and english.
