Course Curriculum Overview
Nist is one of the best engineering institution in eastern odisha and various archievements of nist in various aspects like placements,researchs etc influenced me to take the btech course and i also had great interest in the technical fields.Nist pays attention on every students development.The teachers,seniors also guide us whenever we need.Each semester has a duration of 5 months and the difficulty level is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
Our college arranges a annual internship every year and companies like wipro,western digital offer internships and also gives stipend.Projects based on real life problems , problem solving tasks are done.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students become eligible for placements.There are over 30+ companies who visit every year like accenture,wipro etc.The highest package is 23.85 lakhs per annum and average package is 6-7 lakhs per annum.Over 80% students get placed.I also want to get placed in a good company where i can explore things and showcase my skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure includes 123000 ,for hostellers 27000 ,for mess extra 3-4k monthly,2500 for exam registration.Our college provides a schorlarship where the younger sibling gets benefited if the elder sibling has passed out from our college.And children of the staff members and faculties also get benefited and our college influences each student to apply for state or central scholarships.
Campus Life
There are 22 clubs including tech and non tech.our college provides library facility.A annual fest and annual sports events is organised every year named as sankalp and kurukshetra and allows students to participate in it.
Hostel Facilities
Our college has different hostel buildings for both boys and girls.Girls hostel has over 200 rooms with over 2000-2500 students accomodation and there are 2 buildings for boys over 300 rooms and 2000-2500 accomodation.There are 1,2,3,4 seater rooms and a common washroom in each floor.Our hostel provides non veg 4 days a week and veg 7 days.The registration process for hostels was done during the time of admission.
Admission
Students should have passed 12th or diploma or passed entrance exam like JEE,OJEE.Information about application form or other information can be taken from official website nist.edu or nis.There are no reservation benefits and there are 8 semesters each having a diration of 5 months.
