MNIT witnesses a plethora of Events both Technical and Cultural throughout the year. Most Prominent Events at MNIT are SCHOLARS CUP (Intra college Event): PRO NIGHTS are unforgettable with Celebrities like 'Arman Malik' hypnotizing you with the melody.

The fee structure is revised every admission season so its subject to variability, however, the fee has been on a hike since I joined, I witnessed a 100% hike on tuition fee from 17000/- to 35000/- per semester and since then it hikes every semester. Though this fee hike is making technical education expensive if you take a close look at MNIT. MNIT has evolved remarkably over time in past 5-6 years, with the inception of Vivekanand lecture hall complex, classroom teaching has risen to a next level.

Campus life at MNIT runs almost 24 X 7 ,with phd candidates running labs for their thesis work or be it hostels ,especially boys hostel, as their is no timing restriction for boys to get in the hostel You can remain out 24 X 7 and return

During my time (2014) we had CSAB(now JOSAA/CCMT) a common counselling body for admissions to all NITs and IIITs acriss India . Initially students register on their website and fill out their college and branch prefrences as desired. Then allotment results are decleared in rounds (around 4 rounds in total) Once alloted a filled out choice ,candidate must report to the nearest counselling Centre and confirm his seat by paying the admission fees/ also candidates have options to refuse the alloted seat and wait for further rounds to get an upgrade. An upgrade is granted in subsequent rounds in two ways : 1) if candidate opts to remain in same college as alloted ,but wants a branch upgrade . 2) If candidate refuses branch as well as college and opts to get upgrade for higher filled prefrences. Its a one month long counselling process and tests a candidates Patience . Ps. Indeed an early indication of next 4 years of life.

Faculties at MNIT are highly qualified, with years of teaching experience and moreover, they are all research-oriented, the best thing about faculties is that from the beginning they encourage you to get into research, also they help you publish papers in some reputed journals at BTech. Level only, I myself published a paper in pre-final year of Btech. In a very reputed journal in my niche.
