Remarks

The college management is good college life is also good

Internships Opportunities

The college does not provide any internship. Most of the people go to other colleges to do their internships.

Placement Experience

0.5

The placement and job opportunities are really poor. Last year only 3 students from physics batch got placed. The college does not give much importance for integrated students compared to the students of other batches especially the students of BTech

College Events

0.5

The various events celebrated are gokulashtami, thandav a dance programme, aalap a musical event and anokha that is the main programme or the tech fest of the university. The events also involve sports meet and games meet.sports and games are not given much importance and therefore our college always lags behind.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is terribly expensive and also the hostel fees and mess fees are ridiculous. The fees are one of the highest in south India and also even though they offer various resources the fees are considered very high then they have to offer.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

The worst part of the whole of this is this one. The mess fees and mess food does not make any sense at all and also the hostel fees are also of the same way. there are four people l8ving in one room and also the hostel is not as spacious as you would think. (On the basis of hostel fees)

Alumni/Alumna

Yes alumni student s and senior students are helpful but we dont get much chances to interact with them.

Exam Structure

The exam structure consists of 3 main exams in a semester. In these three exams two are periodicals and the last one is an end sem exam. Each periodical consist of 15% of total marks of the sem and the end sem constitutes 50%.The other 20% are based upon internal exams put down by faculties.

Admission

The admission procedure for integrated programms are purely on merit bais. There are no entrance exams. If you have 80-85%marks you may get admission. But this year the admmission ptocedure was somewhat tiggt and children below 90%did not get admission.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is really nice. They are well educated(95% of them have got phds). Their approach towards students is also very nice. But the problem is that college torments them with extra workload and therefore they feel really tired. But still, they do their best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Its so helpful for us to complete our exam nicely...

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
