Course Curriculum Overview
Physics always fascinates me as i get to know more about it every year. But as each year passes difficulty level also increases making it difficult to maintain CGPA for each of the students. Teaching methods mainly depends on the teacher and the subject they teach.
Internships Opportunities
In the 1st year itself we are asked to join in a whatsapp group which talk about intership oppertunities. Other than this we also get placement oppertunity around our 4th year. Many project works often are done in the 1st and 2nd year by the students.
Placement Experience
Placement oppertunities are often given during 4th year of our course. Average package is around 3Lakhs per year. Students getting placements are often high but most of the reject the offer for higher studies inorder to get a higher package.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees paid for the tution will be 92000(which include subjects as well as labs) and for hostel it will be around 70000(including food). This follows for eveyone of my batchmates except for scholarship students.
Campus Life
Campus life in Amrita is great we get to face many new oppertunities and be a part of it. There are many clubs available in collage both indoor and outdoor. Library avilable here is good but maybe a bit small.
Hostel Facilities
In girls hostel 3 students are placed in 1 room. Hostel food is not good( mainly dinner). Wasting food is not an option even if the given food contain too much salt. Other than that hostel life is good, we have a small gym available for girls near canteen in the hostel boundary.
Admission
Compared to other government colleges the value of the ceirtificate in Amrita is much better. Admission process in Amrita is done online but you need to provide physical copies of the ceirtificates to complete the admission procedures. To get admission in Amrita you need to qualifiy a certain mark in JEE mains or Scholorship exam provided by Amrita and the also accept students on the basis of merit.
Faculty
Faculty and students relationship is good. They manily helps us to improve our skills and are supportive in helping us to attain placement. Improvement in character is often seen in students. We have 2 exam each semester, one is midterm(50 marks) and end sem(100 marks). Getting good marks in midterm helps to improve CGPA.
Night Life
Girls should get inside their hostels by 5:30 so no outdoor night activities available. If any programme or function is happenning in the college then we are allowed but should inform the warden beforehand.
