A comprehensive review of campus life and opportunites at VIT chennai

The interset and fascination i had about AI and ML was the initial driving factors for me to take up , the curriculum is in tact with what is actually needed in real world in the field of AI and ML, there are no areas of impreovements as such from my side as the curriculum is well design with practical learning where needed. as far as frequency of exams are concerened, it depends on how long the semster is, usually there is enough time gap between the 2 internal exams and then the end-sem and difficulty level is not a constant.

TCS, infosys, accenture, amazon, microsoft are big companies that offer internship opportunitites to our college students , TCS is more focused on ENterprise applications and infosys focus on interns for Market reseach and data

the palcements in VIT is above par in comparison to other provate institutions and can be compared to even IITs, the technical details of companies visited can be seen on the VIT website , but students get placed in top MNCs like google and amazon on / off campus

Fee structure again depends on the rank scored in the VITEEE exam and scolarships are provided on the educational fee for the top 10 candidates, either full fee is waived off or it is done partially too, campus employment opportunities are plenty.

VIT Chennai has its own annual fest called the Vibrance and the Technical Fest is called TechnoVIT, Vibrance is mostly held around the month of March and TechnoVIT around the month of october, the range of books available in the Central library in the campus is enormous , The classrooms are smart classrooms with the provision of a projector and some classrooms even have AC apart from the Labs and the Lab computers are ones with good specifications and high speed Wi-Fi, VIT also has a rich culture of sports and many extracurricular acrivities are offered on Campus.

Application process - students start filling out the application form based on which VIT conducts its own entrance examination called VITEEE which serves as primary basis for entering into undergraduate engineering programs. cut-off score in VITEEE varies from year to year and it depends on number of applicants, difficukty level of the exam and availability of seats in each program, i dont particulary remember what the cut off was, for each department but the rank should not be more than 20,000 to be eligible for admissions into the Chennai and vellore campus.
