I was interested in chemistry so I chose this course as it involves application of chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics to solve real world problems. We can target both core and non core jobs in this field. We have labs, projects and research internships in order to learn more about the curriculum and apply it in real world. I think we can improve a lot on the internship part so that we can get hands on experience working in this field. Exams are evenly spread out throughout the semester and we have a fair share of both easy and difficult papers. The difficulty of paper usually depends upon the faculty.

I have not gone through internship right now. But from what I've heard the internship scene is pretty decent and you can get an internship if you work for it and get placed in the same company. Research based internships are also available.

From third year students get placements and internships. Big Tech companies like Amazon and Microsoft also visit the campus. The highest package was 52 lpa last year offered by Microsoft and Amazon. Over 90 percent students get placed on campus and I also plan to get an on campus placement.

If you belong to the General or OBC category you have to pay full fees. If you belong to EWS category if your family's annual income is less than 1 lakhs then you don't have to pay tuition fees. If you belong to SC/ST category then you don't have to pay tuition fees irrespective of your family income. But you do have to pay for hostel, mess, etc. You can easily get scholarships if your family income is low so don't worry about that part. The campus placement was quite good last year and over 90% students were placed from campus only.

The campus life is pretty good and peaceful over here. There are lots of fests going on here literally every month. The library is pretty big and you can get all sorts of books and journals. The classrooms are air conditioned and well spaced with decent infrastructure. The sports clubs are quite good as well and there are many other technical and non technical clubs we can join to improve our experience.

You're provided with a bed, table and chair. We don't have ACs in hostels. The meal quality is decent and you get a variety of options. The hostel register process was smooth and the room rent is 5000 per semester.

I scored 97.41 percentile and had an AIR of 30008 in JEE Mains 2023. I had a home state quota and female quota and got a seat in NIT Rourkela in the first round of JOSAA counseling itself. In the counseling process, I had to register for JoSAA and didn't have to pay anything till I got a seat through JoSAA counseling. In JEE Mains 2023 we had 2 exams, one in January and the other in April. We can choose to appear in either of them or both of them as well and the best of scores will be used to get the rank. After all the rounds were over we had to go to the alloted college for admission. The admission process can be conducted more smoothly if accommodations and food for parents were also provided.
