- Hostel mess are pretty decent compared to other colleges, they offer good food.
- Cleanliness accross the campus is also pretty decent with trash cans fixed everywhere for ease of disposing waste.
- VIT offers good placements having 8 LPA average package.
Dislikes
- Less freedom, hostel in times are 9 pm after which the curfew begins.
- Very less wifi speed: hostel provides only 4mbps of wifi speed.
- Poor network accross the hostels is a big issue.
Course Curriculum Overview
Im a fond of computer science so I chose this course. It is also current trend during the rise of artificial intelligence so a good ROI course as well. The course trains alis about the real world applications of engineering techniques and methods to create performant products. Our college conducts exam every 1 month and then a final exam at last.
Internships Opportunities
You get many opportunities of internships in VIT, even they have their own organization for supporting startups known as VNest. VIT also offers in campus internships to let students contribute to VIT's websites and applications and improve them.
Placement Experience
Strudents become eligible for placements after in their 3rd year and their placement rehearsal begins. Many companies come to the college for placements. Around 400 to be precise. Highest package last year was 1CR.
Fees and Financial Aid
VIT has several levels of fee structure distinguished on the basis of category. There are total 4 categories. Category 1's tuition fee is 2LPA and with each category 1LPA increment. There are several scholarships on the basis of family income, attendance etc.
Campus Life
Overall experience is good except the fact that you have to take permission from proctor, and ultimately your parent has to mail them even for a single outing. We have two major fests here: Technovit: technical fest Vibrance: cultural fest Technovit: tech fest
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are pretty good, restrooms are cleaned twice a day, daily room cleaning also occurs. Meal is pretty decent compared to other colleges and there is a special food day also at the end of the month.
Admission
The entrance test was similar to CBSE boards difficulty level, had MCQs with no negativs marking on attempting wrong questions. Admissions process was quite smooth, we were given option to choose our branch during the councelling process on the basis of which our alottment was released.
