The reason I chose cse with specialisation in artificial intelligence and robotics is because it has a really good scope in the future. As AI is taking over the world it's gonna be really helpful to study in that sector.The syllabus offered for my course that is. Artificial intelligence and robotics is pretty crucial as they teach about all the important aspects from basic and henceforth they do prepare us for real world situations. Our syllabus is split into lab and theory. In theory they explain about the theoretical aspect of the course from the basic and explains the "WHY" aspects clearly. Lab is where everything we learn in the theory class come into real world scenarios as we get the chance to use and practice with all the components. VIT is a good college for placements but in terms of faculties there should be improvement,not all faculties are bad but I personally prefer self study over their teaching

Taking part in hackathon and winning, having a good relation with your faculties can help you get internship. I have completed my internship by winning a hackathon and by keeping a good relation with my faculties i have got more internship opportunities. Other that internship you'll also get opportunity to work on research paper which is really helpful for the future. You can get internship from several start up company and big companies like TCS, Microsoft etc

From the second semester of your 3rd year that is your 6th semester onwards placement training and placements will begin. Companies such as Microsoft, Google, Apple and TCS do come for placements. Last year(2023) there were around 1000 offers made. The highest package can go upto 60 lakhs and sometimes 1 crore. The average package is 8 lakhs. VIT claims 100% placement rate. My plan after getting the degree is to work in a company for few years and save up money. Once I have received a certain amount I am going to start my own company.

Our tuition fee for CSE starts from 2 lakhs. And based on your rank vit provides five categories. The category and their fees are: Category 1: Two lakhs Category 2: three lakhs Category 3: four lakhs Category 4: four lakh fifty thousand Category 5: five lakhs Faculties do provide you with internship and research scholar do kept stipend of 1000 per day for their research

VIT Chennai has two major fest. One is the technical fest called TechnoVIT and the cultural fest called Vibrance. Usually we have these fest evey semester where the technical fest is held on all the odd semester which falls around October - November and the cultural fest is held on all the even semester which is usually held around February - March. VIT Chennai has a 4 story library with books available for all the subjects including fiction. The library is open everyday from morning till midnight 12am. Each classroom is built in with 4 switchable boards. 2 black board and 2 white board in which faculties can project their screen using the projectors. Each class is equipped with speakers as well along with mics for the faculties. VIT provides their students with a good Sports infrastructure. They have indoor swimming badminton snooker gym rock climbing snooker table squash, football, handball hockey, basketball, volleyball, cricket. Each hostel is also equipped with gym, tt tables

VIT Chennai has currently 4 blocks as of 2024. VIT is constantly growing with new infrastructure build every year. The hostel block are named as A, B , C ,D with d block having 2 halves D1 and D2. Students get the option to pick their room based on their hostel rank which is based on their cgpa. For freshers it's purely based on first come first serve. The rooms are changed every year. The different types of rooms are 2 bed 3 bed 4 bed and 6 bed. From 3 bedroom it's bunk beds and for 2 bed it's individual bed. Each students gets their table and cupboard. The food provided inside hostel is decent. They have 3 types of mess: veg, non veg and special. With special having more varieties of food and extra day of chicken per week. Even outside campus stu dents have several options from Apartments by TATA and SBI and pgs close by.

The admission process is pretty good. It starts with applying for the exam, once registered you'll have to go to a certain location to give the exam. The application cost 1500. The exam doesn't have negative marking. The difficulty of the exam is moderate. Once the exam is done, the rank will be announced. To process with course selection you'll have to pay 6000 for course selection where you can add upto 25 course preference with respect to the category. Vit provided 5 category (1,2,3,4,5) which various the fees amount from 2L to 5L.
