Likes

Many activities other than just academics for students to grow.
Cultural festival of vit is amazing and everyone should experience it once
The academics and exams are fairly easy here.

Dislikes

Too much focus on exams. There is an exam after every 10 days
Too much focus on English literature which students already learn till 12th
Hostel life here is not that good as there are too many rules to be followed which feel unnecessary at times.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum includes all kinds of subjects like those based on technology English communication finance can also be studied here by taking it as a minor subject. Exams take place after every month and are divided into 3 types per semester that is CAT-1 , CAT-2 And then the final FAT.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 307000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Microsoft,JP Morgan, Adobe hire students for internships. The stipend is fairly high considering it as an on campus internship. Most students take an off campus internship as sometimes internship opportunities are not vast here.

Placement Experience

The placement percentage here is around 99-100 percent with the average package being around 8-9 lakhs per annum. The highest package offered last year was a whopping 1.2 crores per annum. Many companies like Microsoft visit the campus for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is divided into 5 categories based on your rank in the viteee entrance exam. The fee category is lowest for category 1 and Highest for category 5. So for a student securing a rank under 10,000 in viteee they can easily get into category 1 or 2 which roughly has a tuition fees of 2-3 lakh

Campus Life

The campus here is huge and there is a lot to explore. There are many clubs that you can enroll yourself in and they keep organising events time to time so that it's not only academics that the students focus on but some other social skills as well.

Admission

The process of enrollment for entrance exam was very easy. Vit offers viteee exam for it's candidates and students can enroll for it through the vit official website. The exam was fairly moderate as a difficulty level. eligibility criteria for admission is 60 percent in PCM in boards class 12th which is very easy to pass

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
