Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is highly relevant. They extensively cover different topics and skills. The professors are industry stalwarts having extensive knowledge. However, the academic rigour is a bit low.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The highest stipend offered was around INR110000.00 per month. The lowest offered was Nil. However, too many companies visited the campus, so the opportunities presented were high. Also there were some big names like Deloitte, JPMC, Cisco etc

Placement Experience

3

The summer internships are fine too. The ones that come early often offer better payscales. The final placement is also not disappointing. Overall the placement opportunities offered are ample. The only bad thing is that the average CTC should increase.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is hiked years very year taking into consideration the increased reputation of the college every year. The complete cost for a two year MBA course is INR 1969000.00 which is expected to get hiked to approximately INR 2050000.00 for the next academic year. Scholarships are scarce. The college gives scholarships on the factor of academic excellence coupled with economically weaker condition. The return on investment is low as the average package is around INR 1250000.00

Campus Life

5

The campus life is too good here. We have a different commitee for xyz hobbies one may have. All committees are run by the students and there are hardly any interference from the staff or faculties into the committee. K J Somaiya Institute of management is a complete student led college. Melange is our flagship event in the campus and throughout the year every other committee is hosting some or the other events to encourage learning. We have a basketball court, a dedicated running track, an Olympic size swimming pool, a cricket turf, a football field, a badminton court, a tennis court. Which other college have these??

Admission

Took Nmat exam and the cutoff was 225. I scored 229 and then got qualified for the interview process. The interview was in two stages, first was a case analysis and the second stage was a personal interview.

Interview Experience

3

There were two rounds. First round was a case analysis and discussion and the next round was personal interview. A candidate is selected on the basis of his combined performance in both the rounds. No specific preparation was required for both the rounds.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.
