Remarks
After not able to get any respectable NIT, BVCOE became my 2nd home. There are numerous things to admire be it good faculty ( in faculty tab) + great seniors + below average washrooms. You will find with constant effort and hard work you can become better and better in life if you don't get a good start.
Entrance Preview
I couldn't get into any NIT's from Jee Mains but from IPU-CET got a decent rank and got into BVCOE in 2nd shift and 3rd Round. This college is behind USIT and MAIT in terms of ranking. BVCOE is easy to commute for me and is situated near Paschim Vihar Metro Station. One can easily access the Bank placed inside college premises and utilize the ATM facility.
Course Curriculum Overview
IPU has a very limited course atleast BVCOE does, One can easily spend 6-7 days before the exams and easily pass them. But to gain very good marks, I would recommend to study once or twice in a week regularly while also managing other co-curricular activities. My advice to fellow juniors would be to focus on personal development and increase your skills may it be programming or something else.
Internships Opportunities
No, the college doesn't provide any internship. It doesn't support the students in any way regarding this. Students need to use their own skills and time to have internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario is satisfactory considering the college and the university. But their is reward for those who work hard and look for opportunities The average package varies around 3.5-4 lakh per annum. https://collegedunia.com/college/13059-bharati-vidyapeeths-college-of-engineering-bvcoe-new-delhi/placement http://bvcoend.ac.in/site/home/index/484
College Events
BVCOE hosts technical fest annually (BVEST) + cultural fest (XTASY)once in two years. Apart from that, there are various societies, like debating society, dramatics society, and DSC or IEEE or CSI etc all eager in gaining more members. I personally am in DSC and enjoy a lot under the guidance of seniors. Official fests are quite good but the college itself doesn't give a lot of support to them thus they are quite underwhelming.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is feasible considering it's of IPU and not a government college and considering what other colleges demand it's quite reasonable. Also, students can easily pay fees both offline and online.
Fees and Financial Aid
College does provide scholarships to underprivileged students + girls who have scored above 75/80 % in 12th Boards. No loans are given by college but you can check out college's website + contact admin office.
Campus Life
Well campus life is pretty relaxed, you will find many oppurtunites of interactions and events on the field. Gender ratio is good , pretty even number of boys and girls in college. That ratio can vary considering your batch. You will find many people from UP, Haryana, Jaipur but majorly from Delhi. Labs are decents, There is a large ground where you can play Cricket + Fottball + Volleyball. Table Tennis is played indoors in a separate room. Things like racquet + bat + football + stumps provided by college but now are turning very old in terms of quality.
Hostel Facilities
Mess food is good as far as my friends and batchmates have informed me. It's only girls hostel with very limited space where 3 people have to share the single room. PG's available near a college with no assistance form college as far as I know. You will easily find dependable room-mates in college.
Alumni/Alumna
Well, there are so many helpful senior students, don't think you will ever find an unfriendly senior whether it be on Whatsapp or in person if they are free. No ragging in college, very interactive seniors. There is a special cell for alumni and from time to time events related to alumni are conducted.
Exam Structure
Well, the exams are divided based on marks, out of 100 - 75 Marks exam are held in December and May/June and 25 Marks are divided with 15 Marks paper held in September and February. 10 Marks are based on your attendance and surprise tests with 5 marks test as the priority. You need to work hard to gain marks in internal i.e college rather than exams held by the university.
Admission
After declaration of result, soon the online counselling starts and is spilt in 3 Rounds and A Spot Round. I got admission in ECE II Shift in III Round of counseling, went to Spot Counselling but didn't opt for the better option they were offering that was ECE I Shift ( Morning ) because Evening is much more relaxed. Online counseling is very easy, they have layed down all the instructions on the website as well. Later I got upgraded to IT II Shift because of my SEM-I results. Other options are as follows: https://collegedunia.com/exams/ipu-cet/online-counselling
Faculty
Speaking from experience gained during the 1st year of college, I would say the faculty is nice. Mathematics Teacher which I got was not good, I think he is knowledgeable but not able to make us understand new concepts well. Applied Chemistry + Introduction to Programming + Fundamentals of Computing + Manufacturing Process teachers are really great. All in all Applied Science Faculty is good with the potential to become better. After finishing my 1st year, I would say Applied Chemistry teacher that I got was the best, very frank and understanding. I had a great experience under her teaching.
