Hectic schedule, high no of working days as of now we are having classes on Sunday as wel

Course Curriculum Overview

Theory based learning was appreciated more rather than practical based learning.proffessors are very dedicated and serious about teaching.college life is more inclined towards academics.electrical is a bit tough.

Placement Experience

Placements are totally depend upon students but as we are considering branch wise then cse ece and ee have high packages.placement of civil department is not good.in my branch ee 100 percentage placement is there.

Fees and Financial Aid

As a govt college fees is less and scholarships are for those who have salary less than 5 lpa.those who are not getting scholarship will have fees around 65000per semester.and depending upon the salary reduction in fees is there.

Campus Life

Sparsh is the cultural fest which is really grand and amazing.mindbend is the techno managerial fest biggest in Gujarat. Students are given all rounder development in sports also by inter nit sports event.

Hostel Facilities

There are total 10 hostels and 1 for guest. As of now 2 girls hostel.mess food is nice .food of all the states are given once in the week.hostel registration is done after the completion of the csab round.considering which nit you got.final allotment will done on offline reporting

Hostel Fee: INR 49000 per year

Admission

Admission process at the college was a bit tidious.so many documents submission were there.it took a lot of time.admisssion was through jee entrance exam.based on the percentile I got electrical engineering branch

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Inside SVNIT: A students’s UNFILTERED view

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. Great college for exploring and learning.

I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai.
