Dislikes
- Some of the area does not have shade . So maybe a lack of trees which can gradually be grown in upcoming years
- In few areas the road is kinda guttery, so it may end up in any incident .
- The college buses can be modified a bit as it’s an old style bus.
Course Curriculum Overview
If we are talking about course curriculum in aeronautics, mainly we will get along with aerodynamics , aircraft structures , compressible aerodynamics, analytical mathematics , aircraft general maintenance and practices and many more co related subjects. Coming to the lab we have Ansys, Solidworks, ansys pre post and so on . I was more deeply into maintenance so I chose aeronautical because it can help me in more deep study about the subject and more deeply into engine related problems
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee comes around 1,75,000 . There is a scholarship exam called Hindustan Scholarship Exam where we write an online exam and we are provided with ranks . Based upon our rank we get reduction in our Tution fee. Coming to the hostel fee we are having almost 2 bhk and 3 bhk . Yearly wise we have to pay both the tuition fee as well as hostel fee . Hostel fee comes around 1,50,000 for 2 bhk with A/C and almost 90,000 for 3bhk without A/C. For the aeronautical course the normal tution fee will be 375,000 yearly . So for four years we have to pay almost 15 lakhs. So if we are writing the entrance exam of Hindustan scholarship, the hmwhole four year course will be almost 7 lakhs.
Campus Life
A normal decent college with all the requirements and facilities comprising of a very excellent atmospheric nature and ambience. We have a good and specially trained professors who gives us with an enormous knowledge especially in the field of aeronautics. All professors and staffs are friendly nature which gives us a positive mind. We have a big library comprising of lots of books which basically helps us to study the information and apply it on daily basis life . Our college has many clubs like sports club , Rotractry Club, Aero Club and many more. Our college especially is well forward in terms of Sports especially in CRICKET and BASKETBALL.
Admission
Our college Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science is one of the good and well known college . It's widely known for Aeronautical Engineering and yes it's one of the well placed college in Chennai and very much known for its excelllency and placement. Companies from BOEING , AIR ASIA , INDIGO and many comes for placement and yes they take many students from our College . The ambience and the nature widely gives us an immense pleasure and mind peace atmosphere. As a aeronautical student I'm very much glad and proud to be a Hindustan student and I Surely recommmend this college for rest of my friends .
