Remarks

I would say I am positive towards the college, but at the end of the day salary package matters which is quite an average one at UPES, dehradun.

Entrance Preview

CAT, 80 percentile. I wanted to do an MBA in power management and very few colleges provide this course tried getting into NPTI also but couldn't qalify under general category except fees, the curriculum is more or less the same in both the colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum covers most of the power sector concepts the professors for core subjects are good and rest above average. The concepts and curriculum although does not cover in depth analysis but makes sure we do not miss any concept.

Internships Opportunities

Not many of them of our class got a stipend for internship but, luckily I could manage one yes, you get opportunity to work with some big MNC's and PSU's overall I would internships above average.

Placement Experience

Placements and job opportunities are good in some years and average in some years. for 2013 batch I would say it was average te average package did not cross 4lac/annum I believe. Accenture, Infosys, Mittal, Global Data, Global Energy, Lanco, IEX, Cerebral Business, NPCL.

College Events

The environment is always happening and the college events are there every year. Urja is celebrated every year and is the biggest annual event other than that are college fest, management events and other cultural programme events to keep college life happening.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was about 6.75 lacs/yr when I did it. It is more than this figure as of now other than this there are other fees which would be close to 60K an year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facilities are available easily through SBI and oriental bank college provides a letter that can be submitted to bank authorities and the loan can be availed.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is 25-75 in few cases and 35-65 in some other depending on the course opted campus life is just awesome in such a beautiful place the foothills of himalayas.

Hostel Facilities

I was not statying in the college hostel, but from my friends I would say it was good and the hostel food is also good, the accomodation would cost around 1-1.5 lac an year depending on the luxury opted.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the college has an alumni network and conducts regular alumni meetings and provides facilities in getting interaction with the existing students yes I could get interacted with our alumni when I was in the college.

Exam Structure

Both mid semester and final semester exams are conducted and weightage is given to mid sem exams as well it is a 4 semester course in 2 yrs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Uttaranchal University is a gemstone!!

Placement Experience:

In digital marketing nearly 90% it the students are placed in top startup companies like the Boat, Minimalist and all who needs digital presence to sell their products. Jobs offered are of 50-80k a month and for MBA freshers this is a kind package.

Campus life

Placement Experience:

For masters student student from 3rd semester are eligible for the campus placement. For bachelor students from 6-7 semester students are eligible for the campus placement. Federal bank, taj hotel, Techmutant software solutions, cradlewise, patanjali, etc. many more companies are there which visit the campus. There is 60-70% criteria for students to get the placement as 60% are the eligibility criteria for many companies and some companies have 70% eligibility criteria for the placement. Our university has 85% placement in dehradun region as compared to other universities. My plans are taking a good job and work hard to become independent.

UPES MBA REVIEW (pov: a new student so no biases)

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is around 90%. Students become eligible for campus placements from the start of 3rd semester, although you can get in earlier through summer internship and ppos. Overall average package is around 8 lakh. Top 15% students get 14-17 lakh. Highest package for this year was 33 lakh. Many top companies like Amazon, Adani, EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, Adobe, Microsoft, Infosys, BlueDart, Dell, Deloitte, Genpact and more come to the campus. I aim on getting into big 4 consulting firms.

i think from 3 rd semsester students are eligble for campus placements iam from 1 sem thats why i didnt eligble for that higest is like 20 lakhs and lowest is 3 lakhs per anam they show 90 percent but actually only 10 percent of students get placed i am planning to get a job ncr

Insights of the college through student eye

Placement Experience:

At the end of end semesters college started to get internship and their are a number of them of every type. Students should choose it of any kind. For placement companies started to come in collage in 3rd semesters and one should apply for placement. Till now many companies were there including 99acers, Arvind fasion, Wipro, Google and so on.

UPES CSE Program provide the best insights!

No safety nets for getting admission in UPES as university is strict in taking students. UPES Engineering Admission Test also known as UPESAT has to be cleared.
