LIFE AT NIA

Course curriculum is very rigorous. Insurance subjects are extras with the basic MBA subjects. Curriculum is well designed and you may have mostly a packed schedule. The course starts with ice breaking sessions, industry experts seminars and other things and we have a well designed orientation program for us as studeits very helpful in getting to know about what we are going to do in the next two years here at NIA. Teaching methods include presentations, case study discussions, informational videos, etc. Exams are every three months except the 3rd trimestwhich is the most hectic where exams are just in 2 months as we all head to start the internship. The curriculum prepares us very well from the basic insurance knowledge to the practical working in the industry what applies what skills are needed everything. Difficulty level is 'doable' its definitely tough managing the presentations, assignments and study but surely doable in the time we get. Its an amazing experience overall

Internships are provided on the basis of the shortlisting, then GD followed by PI. Sectors include General Insurance, Life insurance, health insurance, Broking firms, Consulting firms. Summer Internship program is of 2 months duration.

For the 2023-25 batch the tuition fees was around 5 lakhs without including the accommodation that is hostel and mess fees. Hostel and mess fees is around 1,50,000 rs per year. Living conditions are good, food quality is decent. Tuition fee increase is subject to the official policies of the academy. The complete cost comes around to 12,55,000 including the tuition fees, the lodging and boarding charges and the medical insurance for students.NIA has 100% rate of placement since its inception and previous batch was placed too at a rate of 100% where highest package went to 22 lakhs and lowest was approximately 6 lakhs. Best college is looking for a return on investment also insurance is a niche industry and there's always going to be demand for insurance professionals in the market. The placement committee here helps you upgrade your skills, bring in the best companies in areas of consulting, broking, general insurance, life insurance, reinsurance and agricultural insurance.

There are many Active commities that you can take part in and be a part of. The placement committee, Cultural committee, sports committee, Student welfare, social media, manthan and many other committees. The annual fest of college is Manthan. Other large events include the Insurance Summit, HR summit, Sports events, regular festival celebrations by cultural committe.

Rooms are on a triple sharing basis and are decent. Ample wardrobe to accomodate the stuff, study table and a study lamp and chair. There's a shortlisting for hostel and registration is automatic once you fill the form.

Admission process was in form of online form which is available on the website of the NIA which also has updates on the dates and deadlines of form filling. Entrance scored accepted were CAT, CMAT and XAT(percentage cutoff could be found on website). The online admission process consists of A Personal Interview on the basis of which you will be shortlisted for admission. If you don't get in through first shortlist, you may wait for 2nd and 3rd lists. Last year's cutoff for CMAT was 90 percentile and CAT at around 75/80 percentile. Information regarding reservation would be available on the website of NIA also many scholarships are granted to meritorious students during the course. The campus is great, beautiful surrounding, facilities like badminton court, swimming pool, table tennis, gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, basketball court, indoor games, cricket ground. Faculties are insurance professionals who have been there in the industry for so long and have best knowledge.All the best

No GD for the 2023-25 batch we had an online Personal Interview wherein we were asked questions related to our basic knowledge of insurance, companies doing insurance, our educational backgrounds, future goals and a 1 minute extempore on the given topic.
