Remarks

College and management alike are the best you could ask for. I don't think one can be let down as they never fail to exceed expectations. The wellness team makes sure of that.

Entrance Preview

Srishti is revered as one of the best colleges for design. Most importantly the atmosphere here is filled with creativity and is unlike any other design school you can go to or have heard of. I chose Srishti as it was in the city I reside in, offered me the best courses, ones that I wanted to go for, and promotes you to think and make rather than just study and make. They don't teach you, you learn from them.

Internships Opportunities

As far as the internship is concerned, they make you apply for one between the 6th and 7th semester. With regards to the stipend, it is unclear until they address us.

Placement Experience

5

Placements and job opportunities are different in Srishti. There is no campus placement but the brand of a Srishti student holds enough importance. Many students have gone on to work at MNCs like Google, Godrej, etc. Much like the demand for an IITian, a Srishti graduate is held high in the design society and workplaces.

College Events

5

Most of the events are just design workshops and showcasing of visual art students' works. But there is a talent show held where everyone can display their powers in what they are capable and impressive at. As the batches graduate more events and plans are made so it changes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For a design college yes it is expensive. It changes for every batch, and comprises of every payment except for housing and expedition. But they pretty much cover everything like IT related queries, health care, and in some cases, art supplies. The expenses for Srishti however assure the quality of education.

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as I know not really. I think loan facilities are offered to students who perform well and have the necessary qualifications.

Campus Life

5

Campus life in srishti is quite frankly, one of the best. The atmosphere and the company you keep here is extraordinary as there is almost no pressure on anybody. Gender ratio is almost the same for both genders. Extracurricular activities are given importance as they give credits for those you participate in. Labs for machine working, sewing and woodworking are state of the art. There are some competitions held everywhere but it keeps changing.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I don't live in a hostel myself. There are PGs here recommended by Srishti which are a walkable distance. They provide basic facilities and amenities like laundry, housekeeping, wifi, entertainment. The PGs come to college and serve food during lunch, and their menus keep changing every day but the quality is great.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors here know their stuff. They provide you with any help if you ask as they are pretty friendly.

Exam Structure

At the end of every semester there is a performance of understanding, where the days are broken into blocks and themes based on which one should prepare and give their work. This is also a part of the credit system. Assignments are also an important part of assessment.

Admission

I chose to take the entrance exam SEAT which comprised of 3 rounds. 1)Written/Drawing composition 2)Theme-based (based on the cluster of courses you chose from; I chose courses from 2 different cluster so I had to give round 2 twice) 3)Discussion/group based; involves you penning down or drawing your theme of discussion.

Faculty

5

The faculty here are extremely open minded yet friendly. They wish to be more towards the students as in, they are much like your friends. They are knowledgeable and highly skilled in their subjects and only answer to their first names. The wellness team is also an integral part of Srishti's student-facilitator relationship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum here feels more practical and idea driven rather than just theory based which was one of the main reasons I chose this course it focuses on design thinking creativity and real execution instead of only textbook learning One of the strongest parts is how it slowly builds your understanding from basics to advanced concepts through projects assignments and presentations this helps in preparing for real world work because you are constantly creating and improving your portfolio rather than just studying for exams The curriculum does prepare you for industry to a good extent especially in terms of creative thinking software usage and project handling but it can improve by including more updated trends real time industry briefs and collaboration with professionals which will make it even more relevant Teaching methods are mostly interactive and practical but sometimes they can include more workshops guest sessions and exposure to current market tools to enhance learning experience Exams are conducted with two internal assessments of around 40 marks each followed by a final semester exam of 70 marks theory and 30 marks practical the difficulty level is moderate if you attend classes and complete your work regularly it is manageable Overall the curriculum is strong in building creative foundation and practical skills but with a few updates and more industry exposure it can become even more effective for future careers

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have really packed timings. We also have a lot of chances. Like an exchange program, internships and many chances to act or work in actual projects. I really hope they could teach us animation in the course and it would really help if the clubs are active. For every exam we have to come up with something new totally out of the box. sometimes we also have to work overtime.

Students become eligible for placements after their graduation project in the 8th semester which is the 4th year. A good number of companies around 8-10 come for the campus placements. The minimum package starts from 6 lakhs and can go up to 20 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get an on campus placement. Some get an off campus placement as well. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters in my field.
