VIT Bhopal, a genuinely good college or just a Scam ?

The most emerging sector in Computer technology today is the AI (Artificial Intelligence), here at VIT Bhopal, B.Tech in Computer Science with specialization in AIML is given as a major course. It is very relevant to today's changing technology. The curriculum starts with the basic computer engineering subjects in the first year. And then focuses on Machine Learning and AI in the next years. They have Flipped course teaching method which provides both physical and technical learning. Some subjects like English and EVS are unnecessary for this curriculum which they need to focus on. Frequency of examinations is two. Two exams per semester. One mid sems and one end sems. Examination difficulty is quite moderate. Also the grading system here is relative.

The internship process starts in the third year of the college. Many roles related to Web Development, Software Designer, App Development are there on which companies provide internship. The student himself has to work hard here. Not much support from the University.

Students are eligibility for paid internship from 3rd year. Campus placement is not very bad and not also very good. They are decent. If you work hard you'll get placed. Majority students are placed into mass recruiter companies like TCS and Infosys. This year 3 students got placed in Microsoft via on Campus with 40 LPA package. One Student got internship in Google. Average package of a branch ranges nearly around 9 LPA. The highest package was 56 LPA. And lowest was 3 LPA. In the fourth year, placement cell of our college starts placement training to the students.

The tuition fees here are segregated into a Category system. You will be allotted a given category according to your rank in VITEEE. Category 1 has tuition fees of 2 lacs per year. Category 2 has 3 lacs per year. Category 3 has 4 lacs Per year. Category 4 has 4.5 lacs per year. And Category 5 has 5 lacs per year fees. Once you take the admission, they will provide you the lumpsum receipt of fees for 4 years and there will be no hikes in your fees from that. Education Loans are provided by the banks for taking education in this institute. There is rarely any such scholarship available for students. But can be taken through government student scholarship programs if you meet their criteria. Campus placement is not bad and even not very fantastic. If you work hard for 4 years and get internships, chances of getting placed on campus is very high. You'll have to do many things apart from the course curriculum on your own to get internships.

The campus here is descent. But the Campus life is fantastic. You get to know different things and learn new things here. AdVITya is the Annual Fest held here every Year in February. This year celebrity singer Mohit Chauhan was invited for the Fest to do concert. Every festival here is celebrated with full excitement, be it Navratri Garba Night, Holi Event, Ganesh Chaturthi, Christmas and many more. Campus life here is very happening. The library here is not upto the mark. You only get books related to your curriculum, there are no such significant books apart from that. Also the size of library is not as such big. The classrooms here are descent with internet and projector facilities. Sports facilities here are good. Cricket tournament is conducted twice in a year. Along with football, badminton, volleyball, basket ball and many more. Here we have almost every type of technical and non technical club, which is run by senior students.

The hostels here are also divided into two types. One is Premium hostel and other is normal hostel. The food quality of mess of premium hostel is way better. We have here single rooms, 2 sharing, 3 sharing, 4 sharing and 6 sharing rooms too. Both Veg and Non Veg foods are available here. Along with Jain food and also special meal for students from South India. The registration process is similar to that of admission process. The preference is given according to the VIT Rank. WiFi facility is provided in the hostel.

So basically the admission process is conducted on the basis of VITEEE examination that is held every Year. The admission is done in 5 rounds. For every 25k rank there is a new round. On which a student can fill their choice for different VITs situated in Vellore, Chennai, AP and Bhopal. The cutoff of this exam is not transparent. Only ranks are given. There are no reservation benefits in VIT. The difficulty level of VITEEE is lower than JEE MAINS. The website of fee payment crashes sometimes, which they need to resolve.
