NIA as a promising college

The course is relevant in terms of Insurance and risk-management. The curriculum as well the faculty are great. MBA is synonymous to hectic days and nights, yet, the experience here at NIA is truly great. Continuous relevant guest lectures and constant guidance sails our way and makes everything so much easier.

The placement committee works rigorously to get every student into a good company and also they generally make sure they get us professionally trained so as to get PPOs from the companies. Roles offered over the years have always been more than decent. And no, they do not give us the roles of Insurance agents(huge confusion), We are offered managerial or underwriter roles generally.

NIA provide 100% placement and has been famously known for it's legacy over the years. NIA does not leave out any student whatsoever. The placement committee works thoroughly to get every student placed in a good company with a good package. The return on Investment here at NIA is great. The median and mean salary is only going up every year and that I believe says a lot about the college and it's commitment.

The course fee is reasonable as compared to other colleges. The fee also differs on the basis of availability of hostel beds. Various scholarships are available but the most attractive one is that of top 5 scores in the first merit list get full-fee waiver, only hostel charges are applicable. Bank loans are also easily available.

It would be an understatement to call this campus beautiful! Nothing feels more refreshing than staying in the lap of nature. The campus is huge, green and gorgeous! Plenty sports activities available along witha fully functioning swimming pool, sauna and gym. There are no extra charges for any of it.

The hostels are decent, rooms are kept clean and tidy, housekeeping is provided, right from floor cleaning to bedding, everything is taken care of by them. Regular supervision is done and reviewed. The food quality is also decent, regular 3 meal and evening tea is served at correct hours in the day. Overall the facilities provided are decent enough.

The admission process was pretty smooth as the college stuck to the specifications mentioned on their website. CAT & CMAT Score have been generally accepted over the years. The notification for application forms are timely updated on NIA's website. Application fee is a decent 1000 rupees. From coming academic year onwards, the college may accept XAT scores too. I personally got in through CMAT (Score 91.2) in the year 2023.

My process was conducted in two rounds, first one was application through CMAT score and shortlisting and second was that of the Personal Interview. The interview revolves around one's undergraduation background, general knowledge and basics of Insurance.
