MNIT JAIPUR - REVIEW

I was interested to join Mechanical engineering only although I got higher branches in other colleges. They give effort on academics, and in mechanical Engineering they specifically focus on practical applications. No such improvement required as the academics are quite difficult. There are 2 exams held every semester, i.e. Mid-Term and End-Term, you need to secure the 75% attendance criteria in each subject to be able to give the End-Term Examinations.

I didnt apply for any internships as I am currently in 1st year, but yes when I asked my seniors, Internship opportunities are availiable in the college from 3rd year onwards, the stipends are attractive enough to apply for the internships, after the internship, you need to submit proper documentation of your project and work you did in your respective complany.

Tution fee doesn't increase here but they charge you some caution fee which you will get in the end after you passout without doing any harm to college. Complete 4-year degree will charge you around 11-14 lacs including your cost for Lab Dress, Hostel Fees, etc. Scholarship alert are given regularly in the mail ID and one's who are eligible can apply for it. I have participated in Fest organising Teams, and currenlty not eligible for internships as I am in 1st year (while I am writing this review)

There are two major fest organized annually, Sphinx (tech fest ) and Blitschlag (culutural fest) and there are typically held in the month of November and February. There are approximatly 100k books in the library. Classroms are equipped with ACs and Projectors. There are many clubs and sports facilities availiable in the college. Yes students run clubs which are active enough.

Rooms are so-so and are equipped with Fans, Table and tubelights and almirahs. Meal quality is good, non-veg is not served in the college (only eggs) and variety of Veg food is served. Hostels are first given to the other state students then comes the state students and same city students are given less priority. I stay in hostels.

For admission from General Category, you need to get atleast 50k rank in JEE Mains Admission is done through JOSAA and CSAB couselling, the counselling fees are shown in websites, and application for form filling start after JEE Advanced. Yes there are reservation, for ranks you can check out the JOSAA and CSAB Website. JEE is organised by NTA every year, you can go to the website frequently for further details. Deadlines can be extended for admission.
