friends in our college is so good and our seniors are so helpful
computer labs are total 12 and full equipped and library have so many books.

Dislikes

wifi is not available in library thats what i dont like.
some students are in dominating in culture for outsiders
this college is ragging free but some senior doesnt like juniors

Study cirriculam is so good teacher and faculty is very supportive . being a btech student i like to explore a coding world and our college seniors and faculty provide ver good coding culture in college. there is only one thing to improve in way of delivering a lecture , i mean most of faculty teach in english but sometimes they jump in bengali .

some internship is we take our college seniors group which is are from off the campus ,and some of intership are provide by our college which we are selected from hackathons and aur college project experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

The btech total fee is 7 lakh INR and during addmision they take 119000 and semester fee is 86000. I know about one scholership provided by bengal goverment for west bengal native Swami vevekanand scholership program. and intership and placement is quite good

Campus Life

In my prespective campus size is not so big but the life of this campus is very impressive, we play basketball in court . We have A grade canteen and cafe in our campus where we can chill and take rest. our college provide some intresting fest and also Hackathons for btech students.

Sister nivedita unvirsity comprises 15 schools offering than 150 courses in various disciplines like Engineering, and management, architecture and design,and computer application among others. * Admission of sister nivedita university is based on merit and valid scorecards that are accepted by the college. * Admission you can take by WBJEE , SNUCET, and your high score in board exams. * SNUCET is the direct entrance examination conducted by college. *WBJEE is conducted by bengal government . * Apart from SNUCET and WBJEE , the university also accepts national-lrvrl entrance examinatin such as NATA * Also GMAT/CAT/JEMAT/SAT /GATE/MATE.Apply for SNU admission. * Total course fee for BTech students is 700000 INR. * Btech lateral fee is 600000 INR. * Collge also offer Nursing and Paramedical course which is literally good.some of my friends are in paramedical and nursing department and they experince practicle knownledge in hospitals. * ALL Bsc courses fees upto 4.55 lakh INR. *

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Insights of SNU

There are a few private colleges present in Kolkata which provides biotechnology but in my opinion the labs of those colleges are not as well furnished as ours. There curriculum is little different than ours. I didn't apply to any other colleges apart from Snu for biotechnology I sat for an online exam .And I cleared the test. Once you get a call you visit the college campus meet the faculty and the faculty may take a type of interview session The addmission process is smooth. But sometimes the staff members of admission makes blunder. My classes were about to start from 17 August, but they called me during July( because she didn't know that biotechnology does not fall under para- medical and made a mistake and for her mistake I had to suffer as I'm not a resident of Kolkata)...Read More
