The Unseen Side of My College

The cirriculum delas with real world problems like efficeiency of transformers,motors etc.. Also about EV (electric vehicles) that made me choose this course. One of the main reason is maths and physics which are essential for this course. There will be two exams per each semister i.e; mid-term and end-term. These decide our CGPA. In between there may be Quizes and randomn tests these depend upon the professor. The labs should be made in such a way that they are helpful for us in future ,but these labs are very backward which don't have any automatic machines. Every machine need to be done by a man completely . The circulum has some of the courses from other braches ,which gives us insight about those respective branch so that the student gets minimum knowledge about other braches.

The internships are good for the circutal branh students namely CSE,ECE,EE,M&C. The remaining students face alot of problems for getting the internship. The highest stipend is 4.5L and least stipend is 25000. Most of interns are in SDE roles ,so most of the students prepare for SDE roles i.e; competative programming and DSA. Recent times Quant roles are seeing a significant grwoth in the internship areas.

The students are eligible for placements during thier final year in college . The campus placements are good, most of the students gets placed in the college itself. Total 277 companies visited the college and nearly 1000 offers were made. The highest ctc is1.688Cr and the average package is nearly 20lpa . There are a total of 9 international offers ctc pakage range from 77LPA to 45LPA. I'm not sure about what to do after my graduation, rightnow I'm thinking to purse masters in abroad.

Since IIT's are funded by government the fees are not that high . The Fee structure varies from individual to individual based upon his/her reservation(cast). The SC&ST reservation students need not to pay any academic fee. The OBC reservation need not to pay complete fee if their family is economically backward or else they need to pay complete fee . The general reservation students need to complete fee if their's family is financially stable. Each and every student pay hostel and mess fee. General reservation students can decerease their fee by showing Income certificate (which shows their family annual income). Even though some students need to pay compete fee , they can avail the scholarships provided by the government ,which basically covers their total fee.

IIT's are well-known for their fests. There are two main fests in total which are annual cultural fest which happens during january ,where various artists and students come and showcase their talents. During nights of this fest , renowed artists(singers) come and perform . The second one is the annual techinical fest which happens during march , in this various studnets from diffferent IIT's,NIT's and from differnt universities come and show case thier skills in techonology making and using . The college contains a lot clubs . I personally joined in the dance club ,my experience in that club is unimaginable . The student body also works properly in the college.

The hostels are given based on the academic year . The first and Second year are allocated with a 3 sharing room where as the third and fourth year students are allocated with 2 sharing rooms . The rooms are provided with basic facilities like beds ,chair and table for each person ,cupboard for each person. Since I'm a South Indian the mess food feels fine for me ,but the students from north feel positive about the mess. The hostel is within the university itself, which makes easy and comfortable to attend classes.

The admission was through the JEE followed by JEE Advanced exam . After qualifying in the JEE Advanced we can choose the colleges through JOSSA counselling , this is the process I personally didn't like ,because we need to go through more than 1000 options (college courses) which are present in randomn order. The website (JOSSA portal) need to upgrade a lot. I don't remeber the particular cutoff for getting into my college .But there will opening and closing ranks for each and every branch for respective college . Opening and closing ranks are nothing but the rank where first seat of the course is filled and closing rank is the last rank in the respective branch. The entir counselling process goes on for a month . There will be 7 rounds in total . During this counselling we can freeze(lock the college we got) , float (we can opt for change in college and course) , slide(we can opt for change in course in the coolege we got) ,this will be allowed only after each round.
