Campus life will be good provided you make good friends
Infrastructre needs some work, but you'll get used to it.
Faculty will depend from person to person.

Dislikes

Placement is at an all time low given the recession, not the fault of college tho.
Student body has the least say in the decisions of the college.
Sports facilities could be improved. For eg. football ground

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is a bit difficult as ece is known for it. faculty is good. some faculty use PPT and do not care if you understand or not. Some are good. some lab faculty are not as good. Some subjects after the second semester make no sense

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are various companies for internships. JP Morgan is one of them. But the CG criteria is very high, more than 8.5 which is quite difficult for ec students. Stipends and roles may vary. All that matters that the student should be invested in learning.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is 62500 per semester but depending on financial situation, fee waivers can be applied. Mess fee is 18000 per semester. Hostel fee is charged once a year which is about 20000. Scholarships can also be availed

Campus Life

Campus life is okay. fests are good. unavailability of free space. so the majority of events are restricted to a few locations on the campus. Unavailability of the convention hall. The library is vast and has a good collection of course books. Sports is good

Hostel Facilities

Room has a bed, table and lights. Menu could be improved. Food is just for survival. forget the taste. Registeration process is easily done. However a bit difficult for people with loan. Locality will be nice, given Surat is big city

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

The admission process was easy. To get ECE in 2022 my Air in Jee main was about 17k. The date of addmission could have been increased considering the immediate release of reporting dates on campus and the unavailability of trains for faraway students.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Highest package was of around 4.9lpa and average is around 3.4lpa Most students who got placements were those with an average CGPA of 8.6

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. And talking about my branch , there are various companies around my home town . Generally SVNIT accepts the admission on the basis of JEE MAINS score. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. Great college for exploring and learning.

I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai.
