The course is interesting and makes us go beyond the testbooks. The syllabus is perfect as it gives a whole lot information about the subject and also it goes beyond that. There are practical classes. More field visits are encouraged. There are two set of exams semester exam and internal exams. Quiz, debates etc are also conducted

There are few fests conducted by the college management. There is even a fest called the philos fest which lasts for one week. There are numerous other fests like cultural fest and etc. there is an annual sports day. There are value based classes which teaches us subjects like dance music arts etc.

I am staying in a hostel behind the college. It is called Chantal bhavan. The place provides us a good peaceful ambiance. There are different types of food. And it is mainly South Indian or Kerala food.

Admission

There was no kind of entrance examination. The admission process was based on the marks of 12th and 10th grade. The course is interesting . And it has got a good scope in private and government sector. A faculty of the College admisnters an interview which is easy and friendly.

Interview Experience

5

The interview was student friendly. A faculty representing the college administered the admission. The faculty members of the College helps with everything with the admission. There is no need to worry because they will handle it. Admission is based on the marks of twelfth and tenth grade

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
